I have a Dell 4700. BIOS has standby S3. I use a loader with Dell SLI/Cert to activate. All is well at boot. After it went in standby and woke up I would lose the SLIC info in memory. Sooooo. I changed my SLIC to a ASUS SLIC/Cert combo in the loader. Tested again and this time my SLIC was fine after wake up. Could the Dell BIOS reset Dell info during wakeup? And maybe it ignores other OEMs in memory info. Whatever the reason, this has corrected an issue that I encountered. Maybe laptop users who have experienced similar problems could try this technique.
