I got the same as shown above It does show my install as Home Premium. Sometimes it shows up as Ultimate, such as when using Belarc Advisor, or RUN slmgr.vbs -dlv - betas are fun.
Even though I have them both, I find my self using Home Premium all the time. I think it is a little bit faster - no actual data to prove though. I installed/uninstalled Business a few days ago - I think that was faster than Ultimate too. I looked at the Control Panel of both versions the other day - nothing in Ultimate I use/need. ---haven't used Vista since 6801 arrived--- Thanks for your help on things here win7. ETA - The Win7 Home Premium I installed has Fax and Scan, don't think Vista Home Premium did.
Interesting, i might try out one of the other builds, i have only played with business for about five minutes in vmware.
You must remember that with a lesser OS comes lesser services, so home premium may well run faster than ultimate. Like if i installed vista basic it would probably run faster than ultimte because of all the services that don't start on boot.. Ps... I'm not switching though.. Lol
Thanks so much. Worked great. The 'Tokens.Dat' is not where the instructions tell you where to navigate to. Is there another location? Thanks again for your patience.
If you put "Tokens.dat" in search bar you will find it really fast, but here is another way C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
Thanks for your help. The first thing I did was do a search but nothing came up. When I get to 'NetworkService' the only folders that show are: Desktop, Documents (blue), Downloads, Favorites, Links, Music, Pictures, Saved Games and Videos. No, '\AppData\ Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform' anywhere. ALL the above mentioned folders are empty. I found a way to navigate to: appdata - Roaming - Microsoft - Protect, but after that no 'Tokens.Dat anywhere.
