Hey Jessica Any ideal why Windows x64 917699 or Windows x86 917830 will not allow me to do the upgrade to WMC. Most of my CPU are using these builds. I reinstalled one CPU with the Windows 8 x64 MSDN # 915440 and it worked without any problems. I really do not wish to go and reinstall all 13 CPU with the other builds. Due to I dont have another build other then x86 then 917830 for the CPU's that I need x86 on. They are POS units and the POS does not work well under x64. The software is for x86 and there is no x64 version out there. It never worked well in Windows 7 x64. They would crash to many times or stop responding under Windows 7 x64. Any help would be helpful.
Windows x64 917699 or Windows x86 917830 are the VL version and doesn't have the add feature option. Do you also have the DVD number of the 32bit version? In fact, maybe you know of a complete list of MSDN DVD numbers? I always get confused, and it turrns out that after CP, RP, WZT, MSDN etc. etc. versions I thought I already had collected quite a few versions, but now it turns out most of them are VL versions, and *if* I get me obne of those free MS keys, I need yet ANOTHER versions, Windows Pro x86 ("non-VL"). So if you can tell me the DVD number, maybe I can search Usenet (your download link didn't work for me). Thanks!!!
Been waiting over 36hrs foe my WMC key still not in my inbox or spam folder they must be a backlog so may get before xmas
ive been waiting about 35. either they shut it down or we need to be patient because it might be a very slow site
(Im)patiently waiting only for 36 hours so far here, no keys yet to any of the eight or so email addresses I gave (some not my own).
Guys, only patience helps. As an example: ordered my first two keys on thursday, shortly after that campaign appeared, waited a bit more than 24 hours. Imagine what happend after...Even MS was surprised by that onslaught, i guess. Reminds me of the start of long awaited Games, which have to be activated online . End is mostly "Server Down". Regards
I'll be patient, i sent about 8 requests from different email adresses about 1,5 days ago. In the meantime I'm looking for an ISO of Windows 8 Pro (non-VL), but can't find it yet... The link given here by someone (undipcypher etc) doesn't work for me.
Got a question over here. I got my WMC key, activated it on my Win 8 Pro. Now I've got a question. If I have to reinstall windows, and if I restore my backed up activation using Advanced Tokens Manager, will it preserve WMC? And one more thing. Basically WMC activation is kms-free right? I mean it overrides my kms activation after I use the key, doesn't it?
I'm still totally confused over all these different ISOs. I downloaded several MSDN ISOs from Usenet, but they're all VL versions. Where there ever Pro versions on MSDN that were *not* VL?
en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso contains Pro and Pro VL as well as just "Windows 8", depending on the key you enter. But you HAVE to enter a key during install.
