Thanks!!! I have the dutch version (x86) somewhere I think, dvd_915477, I'll check it out and will try to find out which key to use. So then I must: (1) Use dvd_915477.iso, enter the correct key to install Pro (non-VL) (2) After install, enter a new key (....J8CK4), to change to VL (3) Activate with KMS (4) Clear KMS (slmgr /ckms) (5) Enter the new keys from MS' email (which I hope will come in the next days) Does this sound right? Thanks!
@Atari800XL: Well it was really awful Couldn't find a simple answer for 24 hours. I guess we are stupid
OK then, after I checked the list of install keys, I guess this one has to be used for "Professional" (non-VL): Professional = .....-....R-....2-....F-CRYQH - Retail Key (that's what is says in my list!)
OK, the first one is a "KMS client key". I was under the impression that the whole point was to avoid KMS during setup and only change it *after* setup? Back to square one. Have you already successfully gone through the whole procedure?
I installed Windows 8 Pro x64 with the above mentioned key (first one in the list), afterwards activated it using a KMS server. After that I activated the WMC Key I was sent from Microsoft, and it all worked like a charm..
OK, thank you VERY much, this is what I will stick to for now. GUESS WHAT, just at this moment as I'm typing this, all my MS emails are coming in. I believe I used 8 email addresses, so here we go!!!!
Here's a good one! I've received the same key for two different email addresses. What they do have in common is my name before the '@'. Still think bizarre though.
lol at that dude, MS trakcing your IP just kidding .yes it is weird dude, only they know why, need inside intel
It's just a marketing way to promote the Windows 8. Microsoft knows that unauthorized copies can be permanently activated with this key. If no, with sure was needed to input your Pro key on the WMC request form to be able to receive the product key.
