    So what happens six months down the line when you want to reinstall windows? you have to purchase again?

    Aparently no.. Upgrade keys is like Retail.. If you've your Win8 PRO KMS Activated you'll get your WMC activated, but forever.. :eek:

    So I could use the KMS server method, upgrade with my key, and won't have to bother with activation? Anyone got some proof that this isn't KMS anymore?

    Actually, it says right there on the footer: "Your product key must be activated no later than January 31, 2013."

    I believe this means that if you activate your Win8 right now, it'll work forever UNLESS you format after that date. In that case, you're out of luck. That is, if you forget to backup your activation tokens.

    After activating, backup "C:\Windows\System32\spp\store"so you don't lose this forever!

    We did something similar with the Dreamspark trick. And we got owned..

    Think he's referring to the NSBE thing... too good to be true kinda thing...M$ is just so random - they didn't plan on mass rogue KMS activations when they hatched the plan to offer free upgrades...they just don't think that far ahead...

    I will try formatted SSD and install from clean install see if it work . But I back up first just in case!

    Most likely flooded with requests, been a good few hours since I requested one, hope they don't stop it :(

    Although even if they did it wouldn't be the end of the world, from past experience I've never really found the use for WMC, certainly not something I'd buy.
