    even for $15 upgrade you need a valid windows 7 product key else forget it.Go for $40 upgrade.

    Really because I didn't. I just filled out where I bought the computer and when and that was that.

    can you re-check at your end and report back ? they have implemented product key check a few days back, no other go.

    If so, try using a Windows 7 OEM:SLP key.

    I have a bunch of 1+ year old genuine keys that are not accepted in validation, the key should be activated from promo period

    I used my Windows 7 key from 2009 and it was accepted just fine.

    For those not getting keys. Try using proxies and/or anonymous surfing sites when making your key requests. Got my key in under an hour that way (with gmail).
