Did not work I also downloaded AOMEI Partition Assistant Home Edition 5.1.1 to see if that one would work but it also wants me to download AIK. Edit: I also tried on Windows 8 installed in VMware and it also needs AIK. I am starting to think that you are joking with me or something
Yeah smartass. I already have AIK but AIK is WinPE 3.0 and not 4.0. And the winre.wim is already on the HDD. Also, i did try to use AIK but it created a 32bit WinPE 3.0 and the app itself was 64bit so the ISO it created did not want to boot in VMware because its a 32bit OS and 64bit app. I got it to work by copying the Winpe64 folder to Program Files folder on a WinPE 4.0 .wim and launching backuper.exe from there. No files needs to be in System32, only Program Files. Edit: hmm.. i booted it in VMware but it did not detect any HDD so i could not try to backup.
1. Backuper pe builder will use winre.wim if it can find it. It will use the same bit version as your installed o/s. If it can't locate winre , then it prompts for waik. Backuper needs drivers. Hello, I recently created a DaRT8 iso and I am also seeing some tools marked with "Tool requires a supported offline OS" When I select Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, The Recovery Tools screen for selecting an OS does not appear for me and goes directly to the tools selection screen. DaRT doesn't seem to recognize any of the sytems on my drive even though they can be accessed when I use the Dart command prompt tool. I don't understand why DaRT does not show my systems for selection. Anyone have some thoughts on this?
"Tool requires a supported offline OS" is caused by a missing BCD when booting DaRT8. In my case, it does not have the smarts to handle multiboot systems if it can't find a BCD to use. Now, how dumb is that for a recovery app? If you use DaRT7 in the same situation, it will create the BCD for you and ask you to reboot. Once you have this BCD, it can also be used for DaRT8. I now keep the BCD on my flash drive where I boot either DaRT7 or DaRT8 from and this allows me to use all of the DART tools now that I have an option of choosing a system for repair.

Hi adric. What does BCD means here? Binary-Coded Decimal or Boot Configuration Data? I have MSDART ISO files installed in my multi-boot USB but whenever I run MSDART I'm getting "Tool requires a supported offline OS" message with some of the tools. Could you give me a step by step guide on how you accomplished this?
Sorry for the late reply. I missed the above post. I was talking about Boot Configuration Data. Your USB flash must be marked as the active partition and you need to run DART7 to create the required BCD on your USB after it searches for other installed systems on your hard drive(s). DART8 is broken in this regard. Once you have the BCD on your flash drive and it is flagged as the active partition, you shouldt then be able to use DaRT8.
