well your post is very useful too but I would not say that my version is no good. Yes it does use command line but if you are an experienced user command line is nothing. I do quite a bit with it so it is really easy for me.

Thanks, approx how long will it take to install? how can we choose what not to install? where is it going to install (C: d: folder)? since it is silent install how would we know the install is completed? would it automatically uninstall previous version?

Well the one problem is with it that it will install every component that is in there. You can manually remove the ones you don't want later. It will install about the same time as the regular version. It will also install to the default location, so like either: "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)." You also will not see the progress because I had to make it that way but you can always open Task Manager and look for "Set-Up.exe," if it is present then it is still installing. :) I hope this clears things up a little. As for the location if you want to change that you have to make a whole nother MSI using AAMEE.

Ok this is what I would do. Open CMD(Administrator), then run these commands in order:
    1. CD C:\Downloads\Adobe CS5\Build
    2. Adobe_CS5_Master_Collection.msi /qn

I think I have that right. For Command 1 just make sure that the msi is in the Build folder. Then it should work. I am not sure why it did not work but IK that it does work. If you want I can offer either TeamViewer or LogMeIn service for me to do it remotely. Just let me know.

well thn extract disk 1 n disk2...mk sure the payloads folder of disk2 is extrractd to same location as payloads of disk1...replace ny common files if promptd...
u can install frm the extractd folder itself u need not burn it to dvd but i wud recommend makin an iso file n mounting it weneva u need
u need setup.bat and application.xml.override only to avoid the registration prompt evrytime u open a cs5 app...n ofcourse it automates the enitre setup....but thn again it is optional if u can live with the reg nag....

either way dont forget to add the adobe servers to the hosts file n u shud b ok !!!

The official retail one is 13.2 GB but that is not compressed so it is hard to say how small it could be if it was compressed. Honestly I did not notice any difference at all between retail and trial so I would not worry about it too much dude.

sam dude, is it possible to convert this somehow to work on OSX? I'm thinking of hackintoshing my pc and need acrobat and indesign (is it even worth using osx or should I stick with win7? I'm a noob when it comes to mac stuff). Thanks, dude.
