Yes! I held backups of Advanced Tokens Manager v2.9, and not used v3.0 before today. Nonetheless, I'm getting error, if I have restored the activation without ammended the configuration file with my Retail License Key.

Meantime, activation get recovered and working flawlessly, only if I did make ammendment, but untill I do not reboot the machine. Just after reboot, the license issue appears again. This result is self-explanatory for matching the Retail License Key and the encrypted digital license into the registry file from backups.

I just have used ATM v3.0, and found the key can be changed before backups only, and also noticed that whatever key I changed before taken backups, takes place into the configuration file without verification.

As well as you know, currently I have activated through Office 2010 Toolkit, and just to check this newer version of ATM, I have changed the key before backups but Pkey match checker is not working. It's saved the Retail Key into the configuration file while this key does not correspond to the key of Office 2010 Toolkit.

Let me know if the backups of ATM v2.9 should work with v3.0, and this is the right way to change the license key into the configuration file.

Abrupt closing problem in Microsoft Office 2010 is still persisting with Excel, Word etc.. I'm exasperated by reinstallation and reactivation through phone, even in anger I have burned Box, CD & Manual.

I've hard tested this program with real machines and multi license channels, all flawless work, and you is 1ST reporting an error

The main problem is your registry keys bricked, who returned with the problem after the restoration ...

My Office Backup concept, reinstall one key installed for the office, and refresh all other installed keys in the tokens, not necessary backup all keys ...

Something I can confirm about one key reloading.

Say I have ProPlus installed KMS. I backup this state as backup1, then install MAK and VL Access, then backup this as backup2. I then restore backup1 as Full (note now no Access license/key installed). Then do normal restore of backup2. The Access VLK will not reload in this state but the licenses show up installed. If I full restore backup 1 and then install Access VL License (regardless of whether or not a key is installed with it), then normal restore backup 2 it will reload.

In short, a key will only be reloaded if the license was installed on the machine before restore. This applies to when a user backups ProPlus+Visio and restores with only ProPlus installed. The Visio licenses enter the tokens but the key won't be reloaded for Visio.

A good reason to include all keys, is what if in that case, we saved Visio's key, not ProPlus. Given Visio's license is not installed, installing Visio's key will fail, and thuse we cannot reload ProPlus's key. A user should restore only when they've installed everything, but you never know what kind of stuff people will do. If I don't get all the keys, I don't save any, so the user can't use that backup in the state it is in. I think I'm going to delete the whole backup in that case.

I'll test with differents products, more, the Windows Activation Backup not need the backup of the Product Key, I've tested with MAK, OEM and Retail Keys with Tokens only, it flawless work ...

Office on one hand is a pain as you can't really screw up windows. I did everything my windows code can screw up and it can be reverted by restoring the token (we can't effect rearm count, and we can't screw up the windows registry beyond repair, just by changing tokens). Office likes to shoot itself on the slightest issue. On the other hand you have to do a lot less to make Office work. No reinstalling licenses or refreshing activation. The license reinstall part takes the lion's share of time in my implementation.

With my tests, the main problem with this method, is the Digital Product ID, not match with the tokens product key installed ...

You have do backup the DigitalProductID from registry to restore with no errors in validation ...

I never needed that entry. You can delete it in Office 2010 entirely or have it not match the installed key, all is fine. When I install licenses I don't add a DigitalProductID, and most users probably have a mismatch by entering MAK via any script/tool, with KMS in the registry.

I don't use or depend on it, and office doesn't use it for anything I'm aware of.

Seems you mean Windows, and that I'm not sure about. I save the Windows keys for the sake of having a complete backup anyway, plus I allow user to backup and just reinstall key only (good if you want to reuse a key but aren't going to need to restore, or it lets you use a MAK from another machine that you backuped, then phone activate instead of restore, which a restore would fail).

I'll see if a missing DigitalProductID or unmatching ID can screw up what I have, by switching OEM keys on my current setup, backing that up, and making sure the PID doesn't match.

Change the reg.Keys in the Windows isn't good, I'm manipulating strings here to test and release the new version with the complete Product Key match ...
