I not revert the activation if the backup fails, well, if the user trying to restore, is aware, and knows, will lose the activation ... If have an problem with tokens restore, stop all and activation isn't touched ; Else all, if not really worked, the user can be activate online, if fails ... I haven't tested again with phone activation, more, I've sure, all is working on Windows and Office Online Activation, I've tested with Windows by Phone, works ok ... Office by Phone, tested one time, it flawless work, I have to test more times in other days ...
Well, Windows by Phone is really OK, because the Install-ID is static on all installs ... I have to test more times with Office, the restored copy is working fine, validated online .
In Windows persists ... Well, I've tested the same OfflineInstallID from older install on a new install, it has been accepted and activated . * Only in the same machine
Despite not being able to see the actual key itself, there should be a way to backup and restore office mak installations. Of course if your hardware changes, you are screwed.
This is program see the WMI for shown the installed correct last 5 characters ... @bodoo69 It's a way to user manually enter the key for not occurs any error ...
In order to get the full product key, you need the private key which is what WMI uses. Its possible to do it, but you have to use IDA and debug the whole WMI process. You also have to snoop in on how the product key is actually generated, which may or may not be possible considering that the files may NOT be in the office installation.
Its quite possible that the activation is stored using a symmetric encryption and Microsoft verifies it with the private key on their end. Either way there should be a way to backup/restore the activation even without knowing it. Its all up in the air unless you go through and debug/disassemble the software.
Windows XP - Office Activation Backup In your new version now it is possible to backup multiple Office activations such as Office Project and Visio and Office installed at the same time in one computer or Word, Excel, PowerPoint installed separately and activated separately. However this was not possible in your old versions. Plus it was killing all activations... Now the software is working good but you have lack of support in Windows XP. The latest version supported in XP is 2.6 and it doesn't support multiple Office activations. This is very sad. There is no need for windows activation backup in XP , however there is a need for Office Backup, because there is no any software can do this yet...
Great piece of software, love the gui. Backup works well. Just one question: how this works? Can i manually put the tokens.dat files in a wim file and get offce / windows activated (without using your software fore restore)?
This is software have an Engineering for restore the activation system ... You not need copy Tokens into WIM File, simply install the OS without enter the key [ Trial Mode ], restore, and fine .
Thank you for all of your software, esp. real net. mon. It is to date the best app of that sort i have used so far. Ones again thank you
how do i test if the backup was working without reinstalling the OS? I just wanna make sure it will work
