I wanted to test my backup so I tried to change my current MAK with a different MAK. Then I checked MyComputer>Properties and the activation says 29-days remaining to activated. Then I tried to restore the backup with this software but I get error:

    Code:
Starting Windows Activation Restore on Windows 7 Enterprise at 11:01:27 of 2011/11/24

1 - The system not has been accepted the MAK Key - The key is incorrect, or you OS is Corrupt .

    2 - Tokens.dat hasn't been restored = Problem with the ACL's replacement = SLUI Blocked the activation

Please try run the "Slmgr -rilc" in the command prompt, and return with an reply for help ---

Please post your architecture and build of your OS .

I'm using win7 enterprise trial on my virtualbox (x86). Then I activated it using MAK and its successfully activated online. On My Computer properties, it says "Windows is activated". I backed up the tokens with Advanced tokens manager then I wanted to test the backup so I changed the product key with a different MAK (I didn't reinstall it). Now on My Computer properties, it says "29-days to activate".
Then I restore the backup but it pops an error. The log says:
    Code:
Starting Windows Activation Restore on Windows 7 Enterprise at 13:38:35 of 2011/11/24
[ 13:38:35 ] Stopping Software Protection Platform Service
    [ 13:38:35 ] Removing tokens.dat attributes
    [ 13:38:35 ] Restoring tokens.dat file
    [ 13:38:35 ] Success
[ 13:38:35 ] Starting Software Protection Platform Service
    [ 13:38:36 ] Writing Product Key
    [ 13:39:40 ] Fails
    [ 13:39:40 ] Rebuilding Activation System
    [ 13:42:35 ] Success
    [ 13:42:35 ] Critical error when restoring, [ System Unauthorized Exception ] / [ Error writing Product-Key ], Contact the developer.

Although there is an error, when I check My computer properties, it already says "Windows is activated".

ok, what I did was I edit the properties and check Run as Administrator. Then it work.
I don't know why its not working before. I right click the program and choose Run as admin but I get an error when restoring. :p

Anyway, I did another experiment with virtualbox. I backup my current win7 OS by clicking "export appliance" then it made a *.ova file.
I then click "Import appliance" and choose that *.ova file and choose a different name for the image. So now I have two win7 OS.
When I check the properties of the new image, it says "30 days remaining. Activate online now". So I restore the backup token on the new OS from the old one, but the restore was failed... Am I doing something wrong??

Hello , i had Office 2010 activated , then switched off my pc and reconnected my main hard drive through a addon card , and booted up , now office 2010 says there's been a hard ware change and i will have to reactivate , so i rerun the tokens manager and it says office 2010 activation was successful , but when i start up office 2010 , it still says that i have to reactivate ..

Am i doing something wrong ???? I'm using the same hard drive , on the same pc , just going through an add-on card now (sata 3) , is there a way around this ???

The HDD mod can be modified the hardware ID, and remodified reloading the same HDD again...

You can activate online or by phone again...

    emachines netbook

Sorry urie, you make no sense to me.

I got a fresh machine, unboxed it, turned it on etc... Used the software to backup the key. It made the files config.ini ad tokens.dat.
Next I installed windows 7 starter. When it got the oobe, I clicked skip to the activation and unticked the box about auto activation thing.
I used the tool to restore the activation, it took about 5 minutes and according to the log it was all successful. When I went to the system properties it said Windows is genuine and had the blue genuine logo.
After I did a reboot of the system I clicked on system properties again and this time it said windows has 3 days left to activate etc...

I have tried this about 6-7 different ways and unfortunately is doesn't seem to work. I am thinking it may be something else. Actually I don't know much about slic or oem:slp stuff, just I tried to use the tool but it doesn't seem to work for me....

If you have some advice or links to read or different techniques to try let me know.

Im sure it has something to do with the fact that emachines and asus are the same company, except they are not.. if that makes sense

    cheers!

PS The buildlab number for the config.ini says Build: 7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850
The buildlab number in the installed OS is 7601.win7sp1_gdr.111025-1505
does that make any difference? they are both starter anyway

"GDR" is the "General Distribution Release" and "RTM" means "Release To Manufacturing", have some differences between this builds, I'm not sure if it would come to prevent activation...

This is tool has been tested several times with MAK / OEM:SLP-NONSLP / Retail / VL, always works fine, you can reinstall with same RTM build of backed up OS.

And, your machine must have SLIC2.1 loaded in the memory, no loaders, patches, or cracks.

    Hi again.

This time I installed win7 using 7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850. It initially says activated, however on reboot it says 30 days to activate.

I dont think it is possible to restore activation on this particular brand... shame really.

Try enter this commands in the prompt:

I'll remember, this software not work in other machines, the SLIC tables can be not equals, and always have some differences from one to another.

If it doesn't work on any machine then what is the program for? Or do you mean it doesn't work on all machines?
