@Josh Cell Thanks for your great tool. BTW, Would you mind if you tell me the way how I can back up the serial ( Product Key ) manually ? Thanks again.
Josh - Thanks for this great tool!!! I am having a problem trying to restore activation on my Acer Aspire x64 (factory activated). The keys were backed up correctly and restored after a clean install. The restore process went without any errors... but windows is not activated. SLIC toolkit says "No OEM certificate found". Any ideas? Thanks!
Everything indicates that the sppsvc service wasn't disabled Click the Start button, type in the search bar, CMD and click Run as Administrator put this commands Without quotes Code: "NET STOP SPPSVC" "SC STOP SPPSVC" Run again and restore activation Please reply now...
No, that did not help. The OEM product ID is showing up, but says "30 days to activate" Thanks Edit - Actually on the second try, it worked!!!! Thanks a lot!!
Your product key is shown correctly at open Backup\Serial.txt backup? What version of your operating system, x86 or x64?
Yes, the key is showing showing up correctly. I am using x64 home premium. On the second try, it showed as activated; now after restart, it has reverted back to "Not activated:"
Hmm, please wait for update EDIT: Update has been compiled, I'm Running several tests to release no bugs
v1.4 released! - Added restore default atributes to replaced files - Added dual methods to stop SPPSVC - RegQuery moved before load GUI - Restore time reduced - Fixed restore bugs - Fixed silent bugs
Josh - Do I have to start from the beginning for this to work? I tried the new version; before the restart, everything was fine, but after that, activation status was reset back to "not activated". I can restore the system to factory and give it a try.. Thanks!
After the reboot, SLIC toolkit reports that the certificate is not found. Tokens.data is in the correct folder. Just before the reboot, SLIC can recognizes it though. The original OEM certificate backed up by SLIC toolkit is different from the certificate extracted by 7Tokens. I am confused
Tokens.dat, contains most of the Windows activation files including Digital Certificate, they all have a signature hardware, which prevents the use in other machines The backup was been replaced, because return codes improvements, which gives the error if there were problems of replace Try entering this command, and restart Code: slmgr -rilc *Make sure that the installed version is the same that was backed up, including the architecture.
