Thanks for all of your tests. The image i used is the legit one untouched from msdn. At this point it could be a vmware 9 incompatibility, i guess. The only strange thing is that this error show up everytime but just after the activation restoration... Thank you again!
@luky What do you mean with the drive? I just tried to change the drive type in vmware for one test from scsi to ide but the activation backup was made with the scsi drive so with the new ide settings the restore failed.
I don't understand one thing here.. i purchased Windows 8 upgrade, installed, made a backup of the activation. But when i want to reinstall Windows 8 it will ask for a key and when i enter a key it will auto activate? So i have to add a ei.cfg file first so i can install Windows 8 without a key?
You need to enter the default GVLK key on the installation. If you'd to enter your real key on the setup, it will activate against Microsoft servers again.
What happens if I restore this to several PC's? It does not connect to Microsoft to check the activation after I restore so it will work to restore to another PC too? I did not want to read all 87 pages of this thread to see if its been already asked, so I ask it instead. Thank you.
The backup only will be activated on the same hardware.. If the operating system detect major changes, the activation will be blocked permanently.
Tested again with MAK on Windows 8 Pro and flawless works.. Looks like that this BETA version is unbugged and ready to receive the first Office 2010 / 2013 Activation Backup and Restore.
Hello, in case of reinstallation of Windows 8 can use the same product key WMC that was sent to me by Microsoft and then restore the display with your tool. My situation is as follows: 1 Installed Windows 8 Pro with the product key purchased at Euro 29.99 2 Installed Drivers and Programs 3 On Windows 8 with the registry trick (mediaboot 0 - slmgr.vbs / rearm - etc) 4 Used Add Functionality Windows 8 to install the Windows Media Center with the key sent free by Microsoft 5 Now I can make up with your tool? 6 After that I reinstall Windows 8 Pro and put the serial Windows 8 Pro Media Center with the serial number that was sent to me from microsoft (the one used in step 4) 7 I install drivers and programs 8 Using your program to repair the activation? Sorry for my English but I am Italian .... I hope you can help me quickly so that it is able to solve this dilemma. Hello
Hi Josh & Friends: Thanks for your Advanced Tokens Manager...I have my Windows 8 Pro activated and I have a Activation Backup with your Advanced Tokens Manager in my USB Flash Drive...let me give you the Restore Procedure: 1. Reinstall with a fresh Windows 8 Pro without any Product Key <--- I suggest with out Product Key, because I don't want to spend activations 2. Install all drivers 3. Internet turn Off 4. Restore the activation using Advanced Tokens Manager.. Failed 5. Restore the activation again.. Success 6. Update all O.S. using the Windows Update.. Success Do you agree with this Restore Procedure?
