i will tell my story with activation backup of Windows 8 Pro & Office 2013 RTM phone activated using MAK key. 1) Take Backup using "Advanced-Tokens-Manager-The-Activation-Backup-Solution" 2) Keep your Office 2013 MAK key safe- note down somewhere 3) Reinstall Windows 8, Motherboard drivers & Office 2013 and restart 4) run Backed-up [Advanced-Tokens-Manager-The-Activation-Backup-Solution folder] 5) run this cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:your MAK key here -hit enter 6) thats all, run office word. you can find your office is active and ofcourse your windows 8 too. after all these circus i did a media center upgrade to my windows to make legitimate activation of my windows. now i am feeling free without worrying about future blacklisting of MAK key and making my windows non-geniune
Ok it's hardware sensitive, but hardware ID of all devices are same. I don't understand why drivers are important to backup/restore. On my current Windows 8 install, I activate Windows before I install all my drivers. This is all steps of my current install : 1/ Install Windows 8 Pro x64 2/ Activate Windows 3/ Install all my drivers 4/ Add WMC free key 5/ Backup activation with ABS If I want to restore what is the best solution ? I don't think drivers are important, but Harware ID are very important. It could be very interresting to know what are data in activation file, what is important ? Only Hardware ID ? Drivers versions (strange) ? I think only hardware ID is important, I could understand activation doesn't wok If I add a device, but If I change driver version...it's very strange.
I believe the driver problem is seen when an hardware is unidentified during activation and drivers are installed after activation... this makes it as if u have added new hardware and activation burns...
A novice opinion But as far as I understand, if the Windows identifies as a new hardware has been installed, when the drivers installation has been done after Windows & Office activation, then why it's not asking to re-activate or required a new confirmation id?
thank you for this awesome program just there is a problem, I had activated my windows via phone (Phone activation) successfully but I can't get backup from my activation. Any help would be great (and with what language did you write this program?
Please explain your problem with images / pictures.. After clicking on the 'Activation Backup', your activation data will be stored on the root of the application on a directory with the 'Windows Activation Backup' name.. Is coded in the .NET Architecture using C#..
Yes.. This isn't a problem.. Only you need to input the product key on this box to complete the activation backup... If you'd to enter the key incorrectly, the activation restore can fail. BTW: Please check your Private Messages, I'll talk about it with you...
I have a question, If a do backup just after I install windows 8, before I install any drivers. To restore I must restore just after a reinstall, before I install any driver ? Same state.
Not entirely sure but when I did it I backed up after I installed all the drivers/updates my system needed, but when I re-installed, I just restored activation without installing or updating Windows 8 & it worked fine.
I can't update KB2756872 and KB2768703 do refresh with updates suc. and restore activation on win 8 x64 activation restored - ok, win activated , but after ( in event) "Update Windows license and product key tokens failed with 0xC004F012. %windir%\system32\spp\tokens\ppdlic\msmpeg2vdec-ppdlic.xrm-ms" Code: - System - Provider [ Name] Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP [ Guid] {E23B33B0-C8C9-472C-A5F9-F2BDFEA0F156} [ EventSourceName] Software Protection Platform Service - EventID 8211 [ Qualifiers] 49152 Version 0 Level 2 Task 0 Opcode 0 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2012-11-03T11:03:55.000000000Z EventRecordID 65583 Correlation - Execution [ ProcessID] 0 [ ThreadID] 0 Channel Application Security - EventData 0xC004F012 %windir%\system32\spp\tokens\ppdlic\msmpeg2vdec-ppdlic.xrm-ms How to fix?
Can a backed up activation be restored during an unattended install? For example, from the SetupComplete.cmd. I would like to automate restoring the activation since I tend to rebuild quite often. The hardware will be remaining the same. Thanks fro any infos ...
Hi, Thanks for this post. I have Windows 7 Enterprise English x86 VL and Office 2010 Professional Plus English x86 VL both duly registered and activated with the respective VLKs directly with KMS servers. Could you please confirm if this program can safely backup and effectively restore both registrations in case of a new fresh installation of Window 7 Ent & Office 2010 Pro Plus without any hardware change in the same PC? Thanks a lot in advance for your response. Rgds
No. but you can try to reinstall the licenses at elevated command prompt: Code: slmgr -rilc And try to install the update again.
