I also haven't any Office 2013 Activation from now... But I'll try to test with the KMS in order to wait for some testers, but isn't a really problem if it's has been tested hardly.
I know that the OSPP Registry Key stores some activation data.. But I haven't the sure if it will really stores it for permanent activations or NON-KMS Products.
Okay, if there are no silent switches, can I just replace the original data and tokens.dat in the Win8ProWMC install.wim with the activated backup files?
Yes, but is a failsafe restore. You need to also install the Product Key after. This application make an image of the activation files that will ensures the integrity after the restore. Useful for Phone activations.
Why after? Can't I just insert the WMC key that I used for activation into the install.wim with DISM or slmgr /ipk during setup? I'm just looking for a way to reinstall (unattended) on the same hardware and have the system activated without any interaction.
I had high hopes but I just tried it on my Win 8 Enterprise (activated through moo.com) and it backed up fine but when I went to reactivate a clean Win 8 Enterprise on the exact same machine (hardware obviously is exact) it said:- ERROR The Windows can't be activated by the backup. Please check the backup instructions etc etc... Shame - I was really hoping this might work... anything I might try?
Did you installed the same drivers and updates after your clean install, as what you installed when you made a backup ? Some times the drivers can cause that you can not restore your activation. When you restore be sure (for just in case) that you installed the same drivers and updates as when you made the backup
Please post your LOG file: Yes, you can make the slmgr -ipk. I'm really warning you about the problems that this procedure can make if your activation has been activated by phone.
I'm simply trying to "reactivate" a clean Windows 8 Enterprise x86 from a complete (activated through mooo.com) Windows 8 Enterprise x86 installation with all updates utilitiy software like acrobat, VLC etc etc and Office 2010 to a clean Windows 8 Enterprise x86 on the same machine. Okay, thanks. My system was an online activation. BTW, why would a silent backup/restore of data by ATM be considered a problem with copyright?
Can you clarify what is meant by "KMS ... activations backup and restore has been removed"? Do you mean that ATM will no longer backup/restore activated 180-day KMS Host/client solutions that have been worked out for activating Win8 Enterprise/Pro volume license editions and the, hopefully, forthcoming Office 2013 KMS host solution?
