In a first moment, this application merge the Office 2013 and the Windows 8 Activation Backup in one place.

You only need of your Windows 8 Activated to perform a Office 2013 Activation Backup.

You'll see on the release soon...

Ok.. I've done with all tests after the full sunday of work and here's the results:

    - All Office and Windows Activation Backup and Restore are working properly without any error on real machines with fresh installs.
    - The infinite loop on some slowest systems are fully fixed.
    - Windows Upgrade Activations backup and restore for all systems are 100% working.
    - Phone Activations for all products are 100% working.
    - Switch between x86 and x64 products is now possible with the Office 2013 and 2010 including on the Windows, is really flexible and fast.
    - Office 2013 on Windows Vista to 8 Backup and Restore 100% compatible.
    - Office 2013 and 2010 - Isn't needed install the Retail or VL edition specifically, this application will automatically convert the installation for you without any restriction - Really very and very flexible.

I'm looking on the core for an latest revision.. Is more than 4.000 lines of pure logical code on the GUI, but I hope to release today even if it takes a long time. :)

is this "office 2013 activation backup & restore" also good for project 2013 & visio 2013 activation backup & restore?...

if not, do you know how to do the project 2013 & visio 2013 activation backup & restore?...

can i only do the office 2013 activation backup & restore without doing the windows 8 activation backup & restore if you merged the office 2013 and the windows 8 activation backup in one place?...

i only did the kms windows activation for 180 days, where can i find the permanent windows 8 activation?...

    thanks...

All Office platform will be supported.

No. The Office and the Windows 8 activation are stored in the same place, same files, same system. Is mandatory the Activation Backup of the Windows, and the same Windows must be activated permanently for do the Office Backup.

No. If you're struggling for activate the Windows, is really wanted the purchase of it, but you can take a look on the Windows 8 Forums for know about the working solutions at the moment.

    Yes unfortunately.

I've made this restriction for kill all relative problems on the Activation Restore. If the Windows isn't activated, it can generate problems for the Office Activation, once that all is embedded into one system.

The solution for you is use other tool that have fewer restrictions as the Microsoft Toolkit from CODYQX4 - It can do this work without verify the license state.

The restrictions has a good cause, that is provide the best experience for the user that are using this application, without any related problem when restoring.

I haven't any problem with it, but I've 'unlocked' it since v3.3 not allow architecture switch for security reasons.

I'm not changing the registry. Just restore the tokens before install the product key and reinstall the licenses will solve the problem, and the Office will accept the key if the same is stored on the tokens with the same registry.

I haven't through this problem restoring a Retail Phone Activated on KMS Install of Office Pro Plus 2013 on Windows 8 and Windows 7 using my method in a real machine. Tested so many times.

But it's an isolated case, the major of the home users don't know the difference between this versions and look on the Backup / Restore only.

I really don't rollback or look in particular error codes, because the user can reactivate the system again online or by phone when the activation has been restored in many cases.

My way is see the license status before the backup and after the restore. It's the safe checks for me.

I know. And is therefore that I store the CRC32 of all backed-up files in config.ini.

Also is stored the Product Name, that block the Activation Restore on products without the same edition.

What do you mean in 'a restore operation messes up the system' exactly? Corrupted backup files? Incorrect backup files being restored?

I only done bricking an activation system if I restore wrong activation files. The Advanced Tokens Manager has some protections to avoid this problems with any backup. The hashes is computed and stored on config.ini - Also checked every load. As the edition on the config.ini that is loaded and compared every restore.
