My concept in all my projects is make all the process as more simply possible.. I really don't want to implement a multi backup module, one time that you can copy the Advanced Tokens Manager.exe to other folder and make the backup of other machine anyway, the EXE size is much small... Thanks for your feedback.
I've coded all the product detection based in WMI.. It will take from 10 to 60 seconds to look on all applications every starts, searching the compatible products.. I'll make some tests and release the RC 1 here..
Agreeing that I haven't bought an CounterSignature, it only will be verified on my machine.. But it isn't really a problem, a custom certificate already improves the things.
i think i will dig up the old KCB cert and sign reboot-to with it... and the cool thing it will be verified but only because its and installed program you could also put steps up to import the cert just for the people that want the blue UAC box.. trusted root i think it is.
I've looked into it, and I'll sign all with a timestamp. I'm making some tests here to finally release.
Tried to use this to backup activation on x64 Pro with Media Centre.. But it goes funny trying to back up M$ Office 2013 Pro Plus VL (I have Office 2013 Preview installed not Pro Plus VL) saying my key does not match license or similar :-/
How can i restore my windows 8 wmc+office 2013 activation on a fresh install of windows 8 pro? The restore returns me an error because i haven't installed it.
From the first post: Sorry, the Product Key not match error: The application haven't detected the correct Product Key on the registry and you need to enter manually. Is necessary for the correct Activation Restore, the Product Key is stored on Config.ini file. If the error appears, is needed to enter manually the Product Key for an safe restore. Primarily occurs with MAK Product Keys that is hidden from the Registry. Is shown the last 5 characters of the real key detected. You need of install the Office 2013 before restore the activation in order to prevent to deactivate your office on the install. If you don't need of the Office anymore, you can rename your folder from Activation Backup for Windows Activation Backup, and you can restore without the office, but you'll lost your office activation.
I know that. I installed Office 2013, but the restore returns an error because i haven't installed the Media Center. How can I install it before restore?
You only can restore a media center activation on a media center system! Please reinstall the system using the Media Center edition + the Office 2013. If you don't want to reinstall, disconnect your computer from the internet, use your WMC key to upgrade, and restore the activation with this app. Then connect on the internet.
No. You need to convert it... BTW: I'll update this app soon, removing the digital signatures, Symantec AV has been detected as WS.Reputation.1 virus..
