It will be because the compatible hardware, and only it is the rule for reactivating the backups. But I never has been tried and you can report your results later. I tried it and I used a different disc and it told me that so no go but I manually copied the tokens over myself and all was fine
Well, I am very busy and my main computer not works anymore. I have changed the Motherboard and the Processor from the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 to the AMD Bulldozer Quad-Core FX-4100. And obviously the Windows 8 has been deactivated, then reactivated online automatically. Well, I have backed-up this new activation of my new hardware, reinstalled again the Windows 8, restored the activation withOUT any drive and puff.. Re-Activated again. Remembering that I have tried to install the latest drivers for the new platform but still with conflicts due the INTEL components installed before. And another time I can say that this application are working as always without install any driver. If you have changed the hardware, just reactivate the system again and make a new backup.
Josh - Snuffy here.... I want to say the BIGGEST THANKS for your Software Advanced Tokens Manager 3.5.0.0 I use it most every day.... to restore my MAK Genuine Activated Windows 8 Enterprise and Office 2013 x64 editions, after I revert it to KMS so that I can test the KMS Activators.... Super duty Life Saver..... No Dual boot anymore.... 1. just click -Remove.bat -> uninstall all the keys - De-Activated 2. just click - Install.bat -> installs the needed KEYs 3. just click any of the super KMS Activators from MDL folks... and Away We Go... all this takes less that "time needed to Dual Boot: or swap images (VHD) Snuffy
Josh, just wanted to say thank you for writing such a great application/tool! I haven't had a chance to scour the 100+ pages so I apologize to any of you if I am rehashing already discussed topics. Just to confirm my situation - 1. I have several workstations (Lenovo Minis) that are identical. They already come with Windows 8 but are downgraded at the manufacturer to Windows 7 with OEM_SLP pre-activation I would assume, they do not have product ID key stickers on the outside so they must use a pre-activation that has basically the same product ID key which I have confirmed by pulling with other key finders. 2. I am planning on using imagex on one workstation which we will call "master" for our master image. 3. For all the others minis we will call "slaves" I am going to do the following, power up each machine while connected to the network and run through the OEM setup nonsense, once at the desktop I will run ATM 3.5 RC3 to backup the necessary hash/token, etc. information on the "slave" workstation before I image it. 4. Next I will imagex my "master" image from bootable USB Flash drive to each individual "slave" workstation. 5. Once each "slave" has been imaged I am going to boot that machine up and leave it disconnected from the network and then restore the ATM backup that I made before the imagex image was applied. Does this sound like a valid process, my fear is that each machine has unique pre-activated information that ATM might not capture I guess is my thought. Maybe I don't understand completely the OEM_SLP pre-activation process, maybe I can just imagex a master machine and apply that image without needing to use the tool since the pre-activation product keys are all identical. Thoughts, anyone??? I am kinda learning here, so I appreciate any replies/information greatly!

Dear Josh, first of all, a BIG thank you for your work. second yes it seems to be already installed in SC2012, see the error when I try to install .NET Framework v4 View attachment 20535
Ok. I have tested with the DataCenter edition but not with the core. I will install and see if it occurs.
it said backup doesn't match for both windows 8 and office 2013. Everything is the same, nothing change. Back up key, deleted office, install office again = backup doesn't match.
Great tool from a great person in a great forum One question does anybody know which Windows OS has compatible tokens for example in hyper V machine can i use license files from an activated Windows 8 enterprise 64 to Windows 8 Pro N 32 etc. Again thanks for everybody
Well, you can not restore the activation from another edition... But you can switch from x86 to x64 or x64 to x86 when it have the same edition.
Josh Cell, I checked my windows again and found out that I forgot to install Windows 8 Media Center Pack that I got for free. That was the reason why i received the error. I do apologize. Thanks for your time. Have a good day.
thanks a lot Josh, you solved a mystery for me. Anybody knows if there is a tool to convert an activated "KMS Host" Hyper V machine to a "KMS Host" VMware machine maintaining the activation information. i.e. converting the .xml file to it is equivalent .vmx file Thanks a lot for everybody
