Yes, you need to check all the options to make a full backup; These are options that shouldn't be unchecked, unless you want to do different backups. [ And backup registry, save .reg files for a new restore ]
Ok, coding v2.1 version, This time does not need external programs to decode Office product key; I will use a implemented native code in the program, reducing to zero AV false positives after ran; Thanks for alphawaves.

Hi, tried Office activation restore today... Office 2010 Pro is installed with only Word & Excel, serial OK. Backup is OK. Restore is OK. Then I opened Office (french x86 on a french Home 7 x64), the yellow install windows appeared, asking me to type my product key (unchecked "try to activate Office online"), which I did. Installer worked a few minutes. I closed Office, re-opened it, and went to the help tab to check the activation status : It's activated. BUT, although only Word & Excel were installed before running ATM, it seems the installer added all other apps ! Tried to uninstall Office, re-install it, restore activation, and cancel the yellow install window; it doesn't work, because if I don't enter my key and try to close the window, Office closes with a nice message like "Office can't check license for this app. Blabla..." Is it a normal restoration behavior ? Thx !
Ok, I probably found what's wrong ! What I backuped with ATM was an Office Pro installed with file X16-32010.exe (Pro "sp0"), up-to-date with the sp1 official file. Today, on the Office website, I download the file X17-22385.exe, which is the sp1 version of Office. I uninstalled the old version, installed the new one, and tried to restore the activation which has been made on the old version... Let's try to backup/restore the same Office version...
A few test : Installed Office Pro SP1 with X17-22385.exe, activated online, backuped up activation with ATM, unistalled Office, re-installed it, and tried to restore activation : it failed ! (see 2 posts above). It worked with Office Pro "SP0" (file X16-32010.exe)... Strange, uh ?
Ok, isn't normal, What type of license (VL / MAK)? Ok, thanks for report, more, When exactly happens? , Before start, then pressing the backup, o r restoring activation ?
Not VL nor MAK license, just... Pro educational personal license ! Bought it from the Microsoft website, with the edu offer. Found that X17-22385.exe is not SP1. Don't know differences between this one and X16-32010.exe...
Generally, educational licenses to universities are treated as MAK You changed the serial when backup? Checked the serial before doing the backup?
Checked serial, it's correct. However, tried again to backup and restore activation, it works now !! Don't know what was wrong... During backup, I just checked the "change serial" option (but didn't change it), that's ther only difference between my two attempts...
