Ok, will do. Im not entirely sure that restorator is the problem though. I think that if the problem persists i will have to repair the os. This way everything will be back as it should be and i will be able to update again. Clearly i must have made some error in doing the black progress bar mod. being as nobody else has had this issue.
The new version of Restorator caused no change. I reverted back to a much older restore point and now aero is fine after updates. The only thing i can think of is that maybe i took ownership of the wrong part of aero.....unsure really. I will be more carefull next time. I am thinking that taking ownership of the wrong file / folder must cause it to be overwritten when i was trying to update.
