yeah, it is possible to crash everywhere. This version is just to show that blur is possible. Anyway, in case of any crash, please post C:\DWM\debug.log and C:\DWM\crashlog.txt.
all i get is a flash from the screen followed by a black screen - thats more than the first release - so maybe he is getting there
Currently only x64. 32-bit version will come later. If it does not work for you and no debug log is created then check: a) you have the latest version (currently 0.1c) b) you extracted it into C:\DWM (it won't work in different folder and will crash immediately) c) you have debugging c++ runtime installed on your computer
thanks - it works for me now - i had it in the wrong dir - must have missed the instruction to put it in C:\DWM it closes as i close the cmd box which i assume is correct - but i like what its doing so far
@bigmuscle, Just tested, but it's really buggy for me? I'd take a screenshot but Ctrl+PrintScreen, or Win+Prt screen causes the windows to redraw properly for the screenshot edit: Here , edit: Also if you have WinaeroGlass.exe running when u run DWMLoader it'll throw a bluescreen. Kinda obvious though. It does work though, the results look something like this when it's not buggy...
*Sigh* Of course it's buggy! It's in a sort of pre-alpha state. bigmuscle himself said that he did not optimise anything and that there is still much things to be done. Those glitches are only to be expected.
Far from it: it's not even Beta as yet. The developer also wants to add additional features before releasing the final version, if I recall correctly. Be patient, young grasshopper.
I do not understand a word in that chinese forum, neither google translator does, but I have not discussed anything with any taiwan guy. I was only asking author of "Windows 7 DWM Hack" for some advices about DWM injection (but I think he is from Germany and not Taiwan).
