Aero-Glass in Windows 8 RTM, by re-instating the Aero Source Codes

Yeah, mine did too, but it might be a starting point for someone who knows how to program

 

Well, it's not simply a matter of knowing how to program; you need to know about the innards of Microsoft Windows in order to know where to start. Someone, like the Chinese guy who disappeared off the face of the Net, who knows precisely what measures Microsoft took to get rid of Aero and all about how Aero worked previously and how it might be enabled.

 

i hope someone will make this real

 

I am afraid not. This just sets some parameters of window handle, nothing else. To get only borders and captions transparent you would have to hook into windows api and inject code removed by MS on source code level.

wow I just read on this thread win 8 RP had full AERO? did win7 themes work on it?

if so what were microsoft taking when doing the RTM. Thats a serious change between an RC and a RTM thats breaks a lot of software development rules, and clearly sneaky.

 

Sadly they adapted the win main theme to that metro "crap" (optically for me it is) style.

Good question. Too much transparancy for me, but only when he releases at least, we will know for shure .

 

Looks to be heading in right direction will be interesting to see how good it is when released

 

Hopefully it even will be released . Creator claims that this would be before this year ends.
Question is what is needed for that?
