My issue is with D946GZIS. the bios id on this motherboard is vapor.
and when I try to update the bios I get the bios id mismatch. that with files downloaded from intel D946GZIS bios page. I use express bios from windows.
I am not sure this question should be here, but here it goes:
how can I force and what tool or utility I need to shove the new bios in it. so that I can finally post it here to get my mod?
I have tried the intel recovery , but all I get is the floppy disk light going on and off as if it was reading or doing it but, I can go out and watch a movie and it will be still like that when I come back :(

    Hi guys,
please forgive my ignorance asking this.
can the gigabyte EP35-DS4 Rev 2.1 or 1.0 bioses be used on a Revision 1.1 motherboard?
would it be safe or would it be better to request one specifically for the revision 1.1?

The only Bios I see available at the Gigabyte Support site is for rev 2.1, they don't list a GA-EP35-DS4 rev. 1.0 or 1.1 at all.
Are you sure about your MB Model and revision, open the PC and physically look at the MB to be sure.
You need to find the EXACT Bios for your MB and request a mod for that Bios.

    It's an INTEL BIOS (.BIO).
Try using IFlash from DOS but make sure you have the correct BIOS for that MB first.
IFlash should have different switches that you can try to see if it can be forced to flash.
