    Thanks, qtm. Works like a charm. This time I used the Asus EZ Flash 2 utility from within BIOS, not BUPDATER.EXE, no problem at all.

    who has the acer 4740G mod bios with slic 2.1? thanks a lot,i've been finding it for some time.
