I am having a terrible time with this msi 880gm-e41. I have installed modded bios in Gigabyte and Asus. I have flashed 3 different bios (the 2 above and another from a couple of months ago). Every time its the same thing Widows 7 works but is not activated I flash with afud4310.exe The 3rd line says "system data protected" (I don't understand because I have protection disabled in bios) Everything looks good then something like "checksum destroyed" near the bottom, ... then the program ended normally I get the C: and shut down I pull psu and battery and move jumpers to clear, wait 5 minutes, return jumpers and power on Windows hangs until I shut it down Next restart everything starts fine but no 2.1 slic. I have tried changing file names, pulling the battery, older bios, reset jumpers and pull psu before, after and both. Thanks in advance
The "save" tab is not highlighted so I can't choose it. Basic says "dump error SLIC table not found". I am running as administrator. On Advanced, Version, Pub key, Dig Sig, and Maker all have "--" Date is 1/27/11, Size is 1042 and type is ami bios / acpi1.0, version is 11.10. My pk and cert both read ok but I have a red tab of "cert Error". When I flash, I have chosen f2 to load defaults. Windows just sits there loading until I hold the power button and it shuts down. Then windows loads perfectly. I think I am doing something procedurally wrong or am having some other problem to have 3 different bios that fail. All 3 just sit there loading windows and never load. I restart, and it loads fine but have no SLIC 2.1. Thanks again
