What is different? So...the flash worked thank you When the BIOS posts - all of the HP, model number etc has vanished. I assume the point of SLIC modding is to remove all of these identiers (to do with licensing) ? I am still unsure on the purpose of SLIC modding, for me this file was useful as it allowed me to flash a .BIN file using AWDFLASH - as I could not run the downloaded from HP on win7 or xp (wanted vista). But I am not sure how this BIOS varies from the standard one...n00b There is still one massive problem for me. Although I am now using this nice shiny new BIOS - I cannot run an aftermarket PCI card. I installed an ATI 5450 - win 7 finds it etc, but BIOS wont post with it (gives me a black screen) even when set to use 'PCI' instead of 'Onboard' Could somebody please mod this BIOS to unlock it, or is there a suitable complete replacement? (sorry had to remove links from quote, to do with post count?)
