I confirm slic works sucessfully, w7 activated. Still, I've huge issues with this bios (not mod's fault). Computer won't post and goes to startup / shutdown loop, this is with 4 x 4 gb corsair vengeance, it works with 2 sticks though. All was fine with bios 1.20. There is now a new 1.60 on asrock site @Serg008 : can you explain how you modded this bios ? what do you mean by custom ? is RW report file required ?

Otherwise you will get RSDT name as ALASKA but pubkey name as ASUS_Notebook & your slic will be invalidated.

I fully agree with you. The sequence of actions should be such. Slick 2.1 for Asus notebook X54L I did myself. But first pierced the original bios, and then a modified. For Asus X54C use already prepared, but not flashed the BIOS pre-filled original. To restore the notebook was only after flash the BIOS on the programmer in the service center. That is your error (Bootblock was damaged) The best sequence is: original bios, then, after reboot - modified bios
