hi, can re-upload this file please? I have a dead mb (bad flash bios) and i'm trying resuscitate the mb...thanks HP SLIC 2.1 Modified BIOS: ECS_RC410-M_3.24_HP_SLIC_2.1.rar (HP Cert and AFUDOS Included)
pc model ? is the mobo original ecs or is it hp version. i have rc410-m alhena gl6 from pc model SR2011wm. the trick was to use floppy and the bios file and remove cmos battery and power. to reset. then try recovery sequence
thanks for reply. how can i identify model? the mobo is dead, no video input... i think hp model, i see: "hp p/n 5188-5464" and i read: "rc410-m rev:1.1"
Damn! "Starting Flash Recovery rom checksum is bad nvram data will be destroyed cmos data will be preserved ending flash recovery flash update failed flash rom not detected system halted"
same as i had.. try 1 memory stick at a time. ( i suspect a bad ram stick) reset bios jumper. with cmos batt out. hdd and cd unplugged from ide on mobo. use 317.rom not 317slic.rom
i have only 1 memory stick, try both slot. hd and other drive unplugged, only fdd drive. i use 317.rom yes, amiboot.rom renamed...
capital amiboot.rom got another memory stick ? . or can u test that stick in another pc ? the bios chip is next to the power plug in a socket. so it can be reprogramed with a cheap willem PIC programmer or replaced with NX5000 / SR2011WM wrong model.. ASTEROPE3 is the HP codename for 5188-5464
i can't test ram stick and i don't have another stick. do you think memory problem? i try capital, same error. the bios chip is winbond, if i buy a new chip? works? "BIOS ROM Chip ECS RC410-M Rev 1.1 Motherboard HP Part No 5188-5464" this?
