I wished to flash it to ACER so that I need not reinstall win 7 with Asus key.
I have encountered many problems on modding:
    1. BIOS is write-protected. I later used official AFUDOS to save the system BIOS image, say 1_70.ROM. This part is partially done.
    2. Although the BIOS is AMI, I struggled to find out the correct mod tool is PheonixTool. I used PheonixTool 2.05. It says SLIC not complete (I used SLIC Toolkit v3.2) and can't read report of RW Everything 1.5.2. I went forward and generated a new BIOS, say NEW.ROM.
    3. Then, I struggled to flash NEW.ROM to PC. Using instant flash, NEW.ROM is not detected. I discovered no option to flash using asfudos.
    Help:worthy:

    Update A:
I installed RW Everything 1.5.2 on PC and it worked. PheonixTool 2.05 read the RW report successfully.
Whether I used the SLIC Toolkit v3.2 to generate the SLIC 2.1 table or download one in this forum, the warning "no complete SLIC table found" keeps on.
    Is this normal?
I dare not flash my MB with the new ROM generated.
    Help:worthy:

    Update B:
I have discovered that "module" method runs without warning prompt. Some threads show that module method may work. A new bios ROM is generated using PhoenixTool 2.05.
But Asrock instant flash can't detect the BIOS file, not even the one abstracted by afudos! In afudos, I can't find any flash option.:wavetowel2:

    Update C:
Worked out a modded BIOS with the following procedures:
    1. Download BIOS v1.7 from manufacturer's site.
    2. Use PhoenixTool 2.05 to work on the BIOS file.
    3. Select "ASRock" as manufacturer.
    4. Loaded the files generated by SLIC Toolkit v3.2. Intention was to flash to Acer OEM.
    5. Loaded the RW report generated by RW Everything 1.5.2.
    6. Select "Dynamic" method.
    7. Ignore the warning "no complete SLIC table found".
    8. Generated a new BIOS

(Had to remove links due to low post count)

    Thanks in advance.

Is there any chance of getting an updated link to the modified Bios? The one listed says the file has been deleted.

Yes, Serg008... That was the post... Thanks... now to get my son to fix my computer. It seems I fry a system at the start of each summer before I can get the wife to let me crank the A/C down to a reasonable temperature.
