Finally, I got the official BIOS successfully modded and flashed to my PC. Manufacturer : AsRock Model : z77 Extreme 4 Bios Revision : 1.8 Bios Link : official website Bios Type : AMI UEFI SLIC 2.1 & Cert: Acer Modded with Phoenix SLIC Mod 2.05 Mod method: Dynamic Modified Bios/RW report/Cert link: see the picture attached View attachment 15859
First off, this thread has been good to me. Thanks so much for all the hard work. I am looking for a SLIC 2.1 mod for an HP dv5220us. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Was wondering if anyone has seen it around?
Obsolete URL Could someone please help me obtain this modified BIOS, since the original (bolded) URL is not working anymore? Maybe point me to the working URL? Thanks
Thanks! So, if I understood, this is the actual modified BIOS file wit the .003 extension? I just flash it with the tool as is? But I would also need the XML files which were supposedly included in the original archive to insert them using slmgr.vbs -ilc How could I obtain them? Thanks again!
Ok, I got it now. Found the OEM SLP keys for offline activation in "Windows 7 OEM SLP Key Collection" thread. I had to use it to activate on a newer Asus mobo using the > slmgr.vbs -ilc*C:\ASUS2.1.XRM-MS and inserting the OEM key in the same way. The files were included in the modded BIOS bundle, but I guess they're the same (universal for OEMs), in that collection from above mentioned thread. One more thing, I checked the filesize of the original (unmodified) BIOS file from Asus site, and it's the same as this modded file you provided me with. Is that normal? I'm sorry if the question is stupid, but I wouldn't want to brick the mobo Thanks for the support
Yah, the bios chip can hold a fixed amount of data. So the size of the modded bios should be same as the original one, but you can see that the hashes are different.
