Problems encountered: 1. I am using "general" OEM version of Windows 7 Ultimate x64. After flashing with the modded BIOS provided, windows requires significantly longer time to boot up. After restoring to the factory BIOS, bootup time is back to normal regardless whether my windows is activated. Can any one please tell me why bootup takes longer time with the modded BIOS? Has any one encountered the same situation? 2. My PC was installed with Windows Loader v1.76. I installed the Asus serial 2Y4WT-_____-_____-_____-VKM6G and the cert provided. Then, I uninstalled the loader. After reboot, I have 3 days left to activate windows. I think the serial I used is not correct for my version of windows. I know why I failed last time in modding. I shall try modding to Acer to see if windows got activated.
Finally, I got the official BIOS successfully modded and flashed to my PC. First off, this thread has been good to me. Thanks so much for all the hard work. I am looking for a SLIC 2.1 mod for an HP dv5220us. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Was wondering if anyone has seen it around?
