Haven't posted results from flash yet because I think there is a major fubar here.... I didn't notice at first because the link to the original bios is truncated in your post #13258.....search function revealed full original path. The original bios that is pointed to is for the P45-ES3G, not the P45T-ES3G. The boards differ in that the P45T supports DDR3, where the P45 is a DDR2 board. After flashing, I couldn't load windows - kept getting a missing file error (several different ones), and couldn't load Linux Mint 64 - first attempt got me a "hard stop in CPU 2" (I'm using a Core 2 Quad 8300), subsequent attempts just ended with a looping error. So, now.....I need to flash back to original BIOS (v1) for GA-P45T-ES3G, and see if I can get the board stable again. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I cooked 2 processors while trying to boot the thing. One P4 940/800mhz FSB, and one E7600 C2D with 1333 FSB. Somehow my C2Q8300 survived. I've been digging, and I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere on the board, but now I can't find it to save my life - how to force flash a Gigabyte board with and award bios to an earlier version?
Sorry .. I do not get it .. I've never worked with PE I have Windows PE burned to a DVD, I need to boot this DVD? or play the DVD in the Asus?
Sorry, I have to mask the password. Please instruct via PM. Or there are plenty of sites which don't require user account for uploading.
