    T420, 83ET79WW (1.49), feedback.

    Hi there. Some feedback.
On a t420, type 4236 specifically. Flashed original bios as linked in original post. Rebooted. Flashed modded bios as per readme.txt. Rebooted again. All seems fine. Powered off.
Replaced wifi card, new one is an Intel 7260HMW. Work fine as well. But..
With that card, or the original Intel N 6205, installed every time when entering bios menu (blue button, F1) 2 messages pop up.
    First message:
    Code:
    Config
Failed to load storage: LenovoScratchData. Status: 0x2.
    Press ENTER to continue
After hitting enter the second message:
    Code:
    Security
Failed to load storage: LenovoScratchData. Status: 0xE
    Press ENTER to continue
Hitting enter again the regular bios menu is presented as normal.
Without the Intel 7260HMW or the Intel N 6205 neither of the messages pop up.
Any setting changed in the bios menu, say boot order for example, do seem to get saved.
After reverting to the original bios (unpack .exe/ run WINUPTP.EXE -s) the messages also do not show up. But obviously the Intel 7260HMW isn't accepted.
    Regards.

    As i can see, yes.
Using wording used in the bios menu:
    Code:
    Security Chip [Inactive]
I've tried with [Disabled] as well, same messages. There doesn't seem to be anything named as or similar to Secure boot when that option is [Inactive] or [Disabled].

In addition which i forgot to mention before. On Save and Exit from the bios the messages
    Code:
    Config
Failed to save storage: LenovoScratchData. Status: 0xE.
    Press ENTER to continue
    and
    Code:
    Security
Failed to save storage: LenovoScratchData. Status: 0xE.
    Press ENTER to continue
also show up. Though altered settings, like the Security Chips setting or boot order are saved as explained before. They show up after a reboot as intended.

    Regards

Workz! And without the nasty messages.
Removed wifi card, flashed original bios, rebooted. Flashed modded bios, rebooted again. Inserted new wifi card and went into bios menu. No complaints at all.

    Thanks a lot.

    Regards.
