Would you happen to know why the bios flash freezes upon initiation? I thought it was freezing due to trying to downgrade the bios version... Turns out it just can't flash ANY bios. EDIT: Using bupdater v1.26 from DOS. But freezes from ez update as well.
Try to reset the BIOS (by a jumper) and reflash the official 1102 using EZ flash, then, after reboot, flash modified one add. and try Bupdater Utility V1.30
No dice. Froze when trying to update to the official 1102... I wonder what happened? There are no security settings on this motherboard (that I know of) that should be stopping me... Running all default settings. Any other ideas?
Try to leave only one of the memory modules, and take another USB flash drive (FAT or FAT32 formatted) add. boot to pure DOS and run bupdater.exe /i1102SLIC.ROM /pc /g
Went down to one stick of ram and just formatted another USB stick to FAT, and it froze the same as my other USB stick that's formatted to FAT32. I'm going to unplug all of my non boot drives and unused peripherals and try again... Kind of running out of options.
That worked! What a finicky motherboard/bios. I unplugged 3 hard drives, my ethernet cable and a mouse/keyboard usb dongle. Now to check my activation. EDIT: Thanks a ton. Windows is back to activated on the latest bios.
