not sure what you mean its a studio 1558 with i5 4gb ram and ati hd5400 graphics card. i would assume its integrated. i installed the dell driver for 7. then windows updated me to 1.20 i believe for it.
no but werd i installed the graphic driver listed for my model tag of dells site. but yet it didnt install ati catalyst . soo installing 12.10 see what that does. backing up first. if ican nail this issue . my install will work perfectly. edit. well installing catalyst didnt fix the power crash issue.
I concur, I just went though this with my Laptop. did the .net installation, Re installed the driver, and Boom it works
no thats not my issue. i have 3.5 and 4.5 installed. every thing is running perfectly. except the power crash issue. i can unplug and plug all day till o.s is booted. then it results in a crash. no matter what when power is unplugged or plugged in.
Make sure you set up your power settings to something other than "Balanced" or Tweak the plan settings to your liking.
really ms is a joke with support. "Louie J: 7:12:38 PM The reason why your Laptop is doing that because Windows 8 has higher requirement for the power source thats why it will crash if you'll unplug or plug it back in.
omfing god!! thise drivers worked the only side effect is now i have a testmode watermark. can i disable test mode with no sideeffects being it was a unsigned driver? or a way to remove that water mark.i ran bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING OFF but it shuts off the unsigned driver. then of course i loose display settings. when i re enable it everything is perfect again. just the water mark now.
Right click and launch Command Prompt as Administrator. In the Command Prompt type bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF and then Reboot. Enjoy friend Now do me a favor and tell M$ to suck it
i already tried that. after doing that it reboots to no driver. i try launching catalyst says not installed. i reboot water mark is back and everything works again. but the testsign off disables my driver.
Right click and launch Command Prompt as Administrator. In the Command Prompt type bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING ON I will try to find you a watermark remover
