Ryzen dont give something refreshing for i7 users the price different doesn't make me wanna buy new cpu and new mobo for example ryzen 1400 is more or less the same as i7 - 3820 and price around 200$ for new for pre-own 3820 u can have for 150$ for less if R5 1600 will go for 120$ it might worth the upgrade hopefully AMD can pull that off in future
yep Hadron-Curious unfortunately here in Brazil ultimately seem that one nest of thief command this amazing country I don't see solution plausible except Army returning to power to stop huge frolics on politics, economy, health and more a lot of things
Hoping new Ryzen's will be better than intels, instead of the 'flop' we had with the earlier release.
yes for new user without i7 its great deal i was referring to owners already having i7 in same cases its not worth upgrade
Thing to consider is when you chose AMD over Intel you have to buy a new motherboard. Then the price difference will be thinner again.
It will worth the upgrade if you are a gamer or video encoding business person, etc. Most modern games or video encoding are good with multithreading CPU(if you have a poor GPU) where actually Ryzen 7 1800K has more potential than the Intel i7. It is also going to be very good with application for crunching numbers.
It is very clear Ryzen 7 1800x consumes less power and the cooler is cheap. When you put the price of having a new and modern system with Ryzen together you would be running close to the same cost of a high-end i7 processor (without motherboard, cooler, etc) and still consumes more electricity. In the long-run it is more beneficial to invest in Ryzen 7 1800x while looking at the operating cost of your old Intel i7.
