I will test this with my IP35 Pro. If it works I'll post an updated BIOS. Thanks!

@dweller: The lastest bios modded is not working with my Abit IP35 PRO(Intel RAID/AHCI Option ROM 8.9.1.1002). It gave me an error with raid. Back to the version with 8.5.
Do you have raid running on your PC?

wierd... 8.9.1 is working in raid mode on my rampage formula with x48 NB and ich9r SB. I didnt have any problems till now with any rom.... (except 9.5). Thins is there ICH10R is basicaly die shrink of ICH9R with same specifications, there isnt any "practical" reason why ICH10R roms would not work with ICH9R.

Which ROM is used for AHCI-only mode? The Phoenix ROM, or does the Intel RAID ROM have something to do with it?

@dweller Try setting Raid mode in bios and you will see the error(with 8.9.1 Intel rom). After that reboot and set it back to AHCI.

The thing worries me is that ex58ud5.f9j has 8.9.1.1002, but ex58ud5.f9k rolled back to 8.0.10xx

    Is it causing a problem?

you can try ;) might do the difference... i can also mod it for you if you want. Thing is if ONLY thing you replace is raid option rom, worst thing that can happen (if its properly replaced) is that raid wont get detected, if that happens you just flash old rom back.

If all you would do is just replace that line with the Intel code, I think I already did that.

All other bios options are fine, I have windows 7 and have no use for over clocking since I use this for a file server (hence the redundancy of raid 5).

I downloaded the Intel raid versions:
    8.7.1007
    8.9.0.1023
    8.9.1.1002

Read where that last one and the 9.x wasn't working for some people so I didn't get that. Though maybe I should start from the latest and work backwards until it works.

Yes and after add slic in to it with amitool. (or at least click verify), this is just so you see if all checksums are correct. And 8.9.1.1002 should work, it works for me at least with ICH9R.
