Intel Raid 9.6.0.1014 works with ASUS P5Q-E BIOS 2101.
Recognized existend RAID5 Array, booted flawless, no "Incompatible Hardware" Message like in 9.5.0
Will test ASUS P5Q Deluxe and Premium when at home.

    edit:
ASUS P5Q Premium 2201 and ASUS P5Q Deluxe 2301 modded with Intel Raid 9.6.0.1014 work too.
Tested with 6 HDDs in Raid0 at Premium and 4 HDDs in Raid5 at Deluxe board (init and 24h usage).

    edit2:
All work with Marvell 6121 L72a (no raid option for marvell), can't get stripped L73 working

How do you update intel ahci option rom? I have Asus P6T DLX V1 and using mmtool. I have replaced intel raid and yukon pxe but can't find intel ahci.

it wont mess up your activations since you said you have original stuff anyway... and no it does not have SLI string in, because to make SLI work you need moded windows kernel and that moded windows kernel already injects SLI string, so its pointless to have it in bios as well and it can probably only mess things up.

With marvell 1.1.0.L73 and not L72a the raid 0 in striped mode works the same?

    Thanks

I guess this is trimmed version in MoBos with Marvell as IDE and 1xSATA to another 2xSATA multiplexer chip like DriveXpert in Asus. You can try some raid1 without much fear for it but testing on raid0 discouraged ;) But who knows... here previously full raid version(?? don't know where it taken from) of L73 of much larger size available for d'loding

Sorry, my english is bad. Can you write the same post in a english a bit more simple, please? Sorry, again, but i don't understand if with this version, L73, the raid 0 mode works or not.. My interest is because i would replace that module with the L72a in p5q deluxe bios.. Thanks ;)

Don't know how you managed to make a RAID on Marvell on P5Q with SATA 1 port for DriveXpert and 1 external eSATA.

Hey all. I'm trying to update my option rom. It's an asus g71v laptop with Intel(R) Matrix Storage - v8.0.0.1039 ICH9M-E option rom.
The problem is that with MMTOOL i see an 8086:282A module (not 8086 2822).
I remember that some time ago i've replaced the module but i ended with a "hardware not compactible" message and i've gave up with this.
The 9.6.xxx versions doesn't fit my bios (rom memory exceeded in xxxbytes). This laptop has turbo memory, i can't use it with raid enabled, i would like to fix this or at least update to the latest option rom avaiable.
    Right now i'm using 8.0.0.1039 and raid0.

    Sugestions? Any help?
    Thanks ;)
