higer numbers ? naa joke aside i guess there isnt any profit if current setup is working fine, might be some compatibility fixes or you get some new ones, since it wasnt deisgned for ich9r, but like i said working fine for me. But sometimes when im bored im just picking in to something that generaly bothers me and try to fix it my self, like not updating this modules is just being lazy on mobo manufacture side.
AFAIK the 8.5.0 provides encryption on motherboards that have TPM module installed. Trying to find one for my Asus P5Q but unsuccessfully.
Worth nothing. I tried a mod (the 7.6.x.xxxx on this thread above) on the ASUS P5E-VM-HDMI and the bios could not enter the RAID config nor boot from RAID volume. These are just "stupid things" for those who do not know what a RAID volume is and for what this ROM is for! My suggestion, do not change the RAID ROM in your bios, use the current bios found on your manufacturers site! seppi
Hi all. Have anyone tried to update JMicron JMB363 (or any other JMB) ROM in MSI BIOS? As I understand it is rather simple, just need MMtool to replace the module. BUT I have motherboard with 1.06.65 ROM of size 31,744 bytes while 1.06.79 ROM is of size 32,768 bytes. Will it lead to some problems? MSI boards don't like 1B module size changing, do they stand 20 module size changing?
Hmm.. At first sight I don't think that they are the correct extracted version: Code: ich10r-d0 8.5.0(1030) 65535 bytes ich10r-d0 8.7.0(1007) 81408 bytes and Code: jmb368 1.06(78) 15872 bytes jmb36x 1.07(04) 32768 bytes I don't think I could risk a motherboard with those. If you could please address me to where you found them..
Thanks I tested the maximus formula bios and it worked great. Nice work... I've been trying to update the roms for awhile because it's not like asus is interested in doing anything like that.
