Guess what... Just received a BIOS update from MSI with 10.5.0.1034! Not the newest, but does the job here and is the same size as 10.6.0.1091 so could be easily replaced.

It is not in the official updates yet and they did not tell me not to give it away, so if somebody else needs it or p4spooky and maximinimaus want to find out differences with the modded ones to know how to mod OROMs with different sizes in the future, here it is:

I found only 2 significant differences in mine and the Beta BIOS. The offsets are C4 for 3 bytes and offset A5C5 for 2 bytes.
To look deeper I would like that you please check the Beta BIOS also with the M-Flash tool and report back the result.

Which Beta BIOS do you mean? The one from MSI? I flashed that already and it's working.

Yes, the one from MSI. I'd like to know if the M-Flash tool works correct when it's only checking the BIOS.

Well, the thing is that I flashed it right away trusting MSI. But I did a lot of testing with the temporary booting with the BIOS file form USB stick. For example I tested a modded SLIC BIOS that I found here in the forum and that one worked.

ok. It seems to me you can't test it anymore as you already flashed it.

No, sure I can test it. I just assumed that it would work if it works when flashed. But since it seemed important to you I just did the test. And it works. The system boots from the file on the USB stick and reports having booted from it. I hope this helps.

Ok, that helps. If I get some time, I will look further.

I replaced the Intel Raid ROM of the MSI BIOS with version 10.6.0.1091. As the length is the same, I expected Andy's tool would replace it in place, but the A062CF1F... ROM was moved/shifted.
Could you check if the changed BIOS is ok?

OK, I just tested it and it boots from the file. The thing is that while booting from a file from USB stick it is not possible to access the BIOS setup and change any settings with the result that I can only boot with default settings. With default settings the Intel controller is in IDE mode so that the Option ROM does not show up, but it seems to work in IDE mode. Since I have no real pressure to update the OROM I don't feel comfortable playing around much more. But actually it should be quite safe to flash the BIOS and flash back if something goes wrong.

p4spooky also sent me a modded BIOS with the Intel ROM updated to 10.6.0.1091 and JMicron to 1.0.7.28 as (they are the same size) and wanted to publish it here after I reported that it works. I did that four days ago, but didn't hear from him anymore. I thought I post that here, too now. I hope it's OK.

The updated BIOS is here: hxxp://vvv.box.net/shared/0ifrcz61rgacd6upl37d

It is suitable for the following MSI boards:

    P67A-GD55
    P67A-GD65
    P67A-SD60
    P67A-GD53
    P67S-GD53
    P67A-SD60 (MS-7681)

I will be away for two weeks from today on, so I can't do anymore testing here until I'm back.

Another thing is that my newly created RAID got messed up after testing both BIOSes. The entries of two of the four hard drives have ":0" (colon + zero) appended to the serial number leading to the condition that the RAID does not find the drives anymore although they are there and functioning. This was a known issue and is supposed to be solved with 9.6.4.1002, but happens now and is reproducible. Intel was not very helpful about it. Since I had no data on the RAID it is not yet critical, but should it happen later again, all data would be lost according to Intel. I will do more testing to find out which condition exactly is causing it when I'm back. But there is a procedure to recreate the RAID without any loss of data should that happen to anyone after the OROM update:

    hxxp://vvv.overclock.net/raid-controllers-software/478557-howto-recover-intel-raid-non-member.html

Basically the procedure is to delete the RAID, recreate it with the exact same settings and the drives in the same order and then let TestDisk find and enter the still untouched partition(s).

    Thank you!

This option rom is already updated in my EVGA P55Micro MB and runs smooth. I would like to confirm that the Intel RAID Utility (the screen after POSTS) can be loaded up without problem.

    Thank-you i4u1.

I can confirm that the latest Intel RST OROM 11.0.0.1124 works with my Rampage Formula. Both my RAID0 Array (boot) and my RAID1 Array work perfectly.

Using a modded version of BIOS 0001.
    JMicron OROM 1.07.28
Yukon PXE 6.68.1.3 (first NIC only)
    Intel RST OROM 11.0.0.1124
    ASUS SLIC 2.1

Note: The last Intel RST OROM that worked for me was v10.5.1.1070; v10.6.0.1091 did not work.

    Regards.

    @i4u1:
Well, it still does not work on Asus Rampage II Extreme (X58 chipset). The last working Intel RST OROM is 10.1.0.1008. Do you have any idea what can be the problem?

Anyone tested it on Asus P6X58D-E? Latest working one is 10.1.0.1008. Strange is that X58 mobos from different vendor accept it...
