Sorry to tell, this doesn't work for the BIOS P8Z68-DELUXE-ASUS-0603.ROM. I waited 60 secs until I closed MMTOOL. The resulting image still has the length 0(zero).
The behaviour you described works with the BIOS P8Z68-V-ASUS-0606.ROM but not for the P8Z68-DELUXE-ASUS-0603.ROM BIOS.

Seems to me this is not a general solution.

Thanks to all but I would need to try a RAID BIOS of Marvell 88SE61XX controller, the last release.
If anyone know a valid link where can download it will be appreciate!
    Thanks.

Hmm, you're right... not sure why it doesn't work with 0603. It works with P8Z68-DELUXE-ASUS-0706 though; that's the file I used for my earlier tests.

Now, whether the resulting BIOS file works or not is another story altogether.

    Regards.

Marvell Sata Oroms are about 20KB, stripped of combo Raid/Sata Oroms which are around 90KB.
You can only replace same size, otherwise you will get an initialization error while bios post.
For sata nevest i know is 1.1.0.L75
for Raid latest seen is 1.2.0.32 included with sata 1.1.0.L73 for 6145er Chips (1.2.0.31 for 6121er Chips)
Never tested Raid bios, because my P5Q-Series only support 20KB Marvell orom. But L75 works flawless in sata mode.

    Hi )

    For mynameistpx :

I don't know exactly. But i have a little rig with Raid0 with 2 WD HDD BlackCaviar on Gigabyte EP45-DS3R with a modded F11i bios who contain the 11.0.0.1124
option rom inside (all the option rom have been updated too).

I must recognize than my hdd don't have the same firmware (yes, not good but fully functional).
Since the F11i have the 11.0.0.1124, a big problems appears :

I make a fully reinstall of my system with a Windows 7 (not modded) and the system was
verrrrrryyy slowwww and finally hang !

No problem to enter in the Intel GUI (erase the array, recreate one : all is ok)
    No problem during POST.

But Unable to make an install of Windows 7 in Raid 0 mode !

Perhaps some problems occurs with the 11.0.0.1124 and Intel decided to back in 10.6.0.1091

    Hello there,

I have used Intel RST Rom 10.6.0.1091 in Raid1 and am using 11.0.0.1124 in Raid1, running Windows 7 Ultimate without any problems and no significant difference observed in speed. However, I am using WD RE harddisks.

When you use 11.0.0.1124, have you update the driver to the latest 10.6.0.1002 w7 driver?

    I can't, it's during the install of Win7 himself o_O
Perhaps with a modded Seven install USB key

(Probably latest optionRom are less tolerant with different HDD firmware version in same Array, possible ?)

Actually, Win7 contain a driver for the Intel RST chipset. Noramally, I don't install driver provided by Intel during the W7 installation. I will install the Intel driver and RST utility after the W7 OS is installed.

On the other hand, I won't expect any problems if you want to install the Intel RST driver by pressing F6 key during the W7 OS installation as the intel_rst_10.6.0.1002 driver is officially released by intel.

I would like to insert an Intel RST more recent than version 8 in an Acer Veriton X480G AMI bios. It has an ICH10R controller on Intel G43 Express, wich version will work?
    Thanks...
Oh, and... Anyone has latest ROM for Broadcom NeXtream Gigabit?

Look for 10.1.0.1008, It was last really working RST with ICH10R and P45er generation of Intel chipset.
There is no garantie that it WILL work, except some other did it before.
But there is a good chance, that it will work flawless.
