Hi, I noticed on the forum lucageo managed to mod the P6T Deluxe BIOS to include the Intel RST 10.1.0.1008 OROM. My mobo however is a P6T Deluxe V2; the BIOS is similar so I assume the modding procedure would be along the same lines. This would be my first foray into replacing an OROM in the BIOS so I was hoping that one of you gurus here would be able to help me. In both the original P6T Deluxe and P6T Deluxe V2 BIOS, the Intel RST Optional ROM module (20:8086:2822) is of size 64KB (65536). The Intel RST 10.1.0.1008 OROM is 85KB (86528) in size. And versions 10.5.0.976 and above are about 119KB in size. As the replacement OROM module is larger than the original, is there anything else that needs to be done (other than using MMTOOL to replace module 20:8086:2822 with the newer OROM)? Thanks! Best regards, James
No, MMTools will compress it in a different ratio (it's written beside module address); watch out, my Asus P6X58D-E doesn't work with any rom newer than 10.1.xxx
Thanks gpvecchi!! I've tried replacing the Intel RST OROM with 10.1.0.1008 and it seems to work flawlessly. I will test this configuration for a while and then try the newer OROMs. My hope is to update to an RST ROM >= 10.5.xx as what I gathered from the Intel Community forums is that RST ROM 10.5.xx or above is required to perform RAID on HDDs >= 3TB.
You can try it; if bios hangs, just reset CMOS and use EZ Flash to reflash working bios. I tested 10.5 and 10.6 and they weren't working on my mobo; no tests with 11 OROM...
With my Maximus 3 Formula, I can only really update the intel RST optional ROM. 11.x, 10.6.x and10.5.x don,t work this p55 mb. I run out of memory in the boot up to load all optional ROMs. This mb has 2 jmicron 368 controllers so I not just flash the ROM if I want to use those Sata ports, which I do. I also leave the current realtek optional rom as the 8110sc controller does to appear to run better or more stable with the 2.41 rom. Can one link the stable 10.1.x intel rom as I am having a hard time finding it.
In the 1.50 BIOS of my ASRock X58 Extreme6 I got an PCI Option ROM for the Realtek LAN (changed to v2.41) an the Intel Raid (changed to v10.1.0.1008), but no Option ROMs for the Marvell SE9128, Marvell SE9120 and NEC UPD720200 Chip. Is there a possibility to change these Option ROMs as well?

I don't think that firmware of USB3 Chip is in Bios. the Nec/Renesas Chip contains its own memory for firmware. You can flash it with exe you linked.
If you want I can mod completely your P6T Deluxe V2 BIOS with latest Marvell LAN, and others OROM. ASk and you'll have !!
The release 11 OROM works flawless on ASUS P6T Deluxe BIOS but only AHCI Mode. Windows boot ok! It's impossible enter to RAID configuration BIOS, if you do so only a blinking cursor you'll see. Reset to cmos with AHCI setting will resolve the situation.
The Intel Raid Rom is not invoked for AHCI mode. AHCI mode is usually integrated in the BIOS, sometimes also through the Intel AHCI Rom. You can check the correct Raid operation of the changed BIOS with the Intel tool RaidCply.exe.
Well, I'm not sure of that. I modded an Acer Veriton bios, updating just Intel ROM; ACHI adapter drivers were reloaded (showing non present devices reveals 1 old adapter and I cleaned it before flashing).
I extracted it from the Thinkpad W700 BIOS. It's for the ICH9M-E notebook Raid controller, ROM DEVID: 282A, not 2822! My chipset is the mobile PM 45. If you want it, I can upload the ROM. Following shows the capabilities of the original 8.0.1.1003 from my HP 8530w BIOS F.13 and the newer 8.9.1.1003
