Nope, I tried 10.5.1.1070, 10.6.0.1091, 11.0.0.1124 and 11.5.0.1111... Oh, just another thing, I successfully modded bios with EZ Flash 3.46 on my mobo, but I now realized that O.C. Profile no more works; is this is the same module, or am I wrong?
The RAID ROM module has nothing to do with the other BIOS related features and settings. If the RAID ROM module has been inserted the correct way, there should be no negative impact on the function of the BIOS settings. Nevertheless you should always set all BIOS settings to "Default", before you are going to flash a new BIOS.
Sorry, I were talking of 2 different arguments: one was Intel Raid OROM (and no one newer than 10.1 are working), the other one was that I even replaced EZ Flash module, but I think that this includes even OC Profile (the utility to save settings on removable devices) as Hex viewer says, and this doesn't work anymore...
Why don't you test it yourself? There are not so many lion-hearted visitors of this thread with an ASUS X58 mainboard RAID system. Nevertheless: I am pretty sure, that the RAID ROM v10.8.0.1303 will work with the Intel ICH10R SATA RAID Controller of your board, but maybe it will be risky to flash it properly into your mainboard BIOS.
Hey guys, I'm willing to help, let's see if I can... If I can't, please send me in the right direction. I have a Zotac H67 ITX mobo and I'm trying to RAID 5 Four 3TB hard drives. My current Intel Software version is: Current Driver Installed 10.0.0.1032 Newer Driver Available: 10.8.0.1003 My Intel RST Option ROM version is: 10.1.?.? (I can find that out when I'm not on the machine.) Apparently in 10.5 Intel added support for 3TB hds and currently with my current RST software version and Hardware firmware version, I can see 3tb drives, I can create a 8+Tb volume, but when I go to initialize it, it only shows 2,240GB. UGGH. I can download the latest software version, and when I do that, when I look into the IAstor program, I get Status, Manage, Preferences, and Help, but no Create. I'm guessing that my hardware firmware is out of spec so far that the software version won't interface with it. From within the Boot BIOS (Ctrl-I) I don't see the 3TB drives. I guess I have 3 options. 1. Ask Zotac to release a new BIOS that incorporates 10.8 2. Try installing the .BIN file you just uploaded. 3. Buy Four 2TB drives. (Don't want to after having spent a boatload on the Four 3TB drives) 1. I guess I should do that now, costs me nothing but I'm not hopeful. 2. Care to share with me how I could flash that BIOS? What would be the risk to my existing Motherboard BIOS. Would it keep things separate? 3. The economy could use my money but so could I. I'll play guinea pig, please get back to me and update the thread. Thanks -Lox
@ v8esprit: I have flashed the Intel RAID OROM v10.8.0.1303 into the actual BIOS version of your mainboard (I0610NZT.ROM dated 06/10/2011). If you want to try it, please send me an eMail ([email protected]). Good luck! Fernando
* With 8TB detected you you still need GPT and not NTFS that is normal and for Boot requiert a EFI BIOS look this : hxyzp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463525 hxyzp://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/gpt_white_paper_1_0.pdf Pierre
Updated my Asus Maximus3Gene and EVGA P55M Micro (both with Intel P55 chipset) with 20_2822_0_10.8.0.1303.BIN, works fine. Can load up Intel RST Utility after POSTS screen. Thank you! Just updated my Asus P8H67-M-Pro (Intel H67 chipset) mainboard with RST 10.8.0.1303, works fine, too!
Yes. OCZ Agility 3 60GB (Marvell) OS, 2 x Seagate ST31000528AS RAID0 11.5.0.1111 also works on ASUS Rampage Formula (see last Solor's BIOS 1002b-R4)
Hi Fernando, Great Information - it might me fixed on first page too ... Also would be great to update the .ZIP file with the latest OROMs and somenotes about version and if its working proper. Would you mind if a free translate and adapt it to PT-BR ? Thx
