Intel OROM 11.5.0.1111 and driver 11.5.0.1109 (look at station-drivers.com) seems to be Alpha versions and were released in August 2011.
ww.station-drivers.com/telechargement/intel/sata/11.5.htm Look at known issues, this kit causes BSODs sometimes.

Since the last Intel RST v11.x.x.xxxx series drivers and RAID OROM versions have been accomplished already in June/July and we haven't seen any WHQL certified v11 driver yet, I believe, that Intel has decided to split their AHCI and RAID driver and RAID OROM development lines:
    1. RSTe drivers and RAID OROMs for Intel C600 and X79 series chipsets (actual: v3.0.0.2003 WHQL drivers and v3.0.0.1184 OROM) and
    2. RST drivers and RAID OROMs for all the other Intel chipsets from ICH7R/M up (actual: v10.8.0.1003 WHQL driver and v10.8.0.1303 OROM).

Except for my Asus P6X58D-E, wich doesn't boot in raid mode with OROM newer than 10.1.0.1008...

Did you try the Intel RAID ROM v10.8.0.1013, and if yes, where did you get it?

    Hi everyone,

first post and first noob question ...

Can it be possible to use SSD Caching technology from z68 on a x58 mobo (p6t deluxe V2) :p

I've tried to inject an intel mod file witg mmtools and ... black screen at raid menu.

Hopefully, i've got an eeprom programmer so i've restored my backup bios..

Just disconnect drives, boot into bios and select IDE or AHCI.
Then reflash bios with workin orom.

If you can't go into bios, reset CMOS (jumper or removing battery).
    BIOS defaults to IDE...

Not even the newest BIOS 0402 for the ASUS P8Z68-V-PRO_GEN3 contains it. It's still v10.6.0.1091. I just have checked it.

    Nope, I tried 10.5.1.1070, 10.6.0.1091, 11.0.0.1124 and 11.5.0.1111...
Oh, just another thing, I successfully modded bios with EZ Flash 3.46 on my mobo, but I now realized that O.C. Profile no more works; is this is the same module, or am I wrong?

The RAID ROM module has nothing to do with the other BIOS related features and settings.
If the RAID ROM module has been inserted the correct way, there should be no negative impact on the function of the BIOS settings.
Nevertheless you should always set all BIOS settings to "Default", before you are going to flash a new BIOS.

Sorry, I were talking of 2 different arguments: one was Intel Raid OROM (and no one newer than 10.1 are working), the other one was that I even replaced EZ Flash module, but I think that this includes even OC Profile (the utility to save settings on removable devices) as Hex viewer says, and this doesn't work anymore...

Great! Who dares testing it on Asus X58 boards?

Why don't you test it yourself? There are not so many lion-hearted visitors of this thread with an ASUS X58 mainboard RAID system.
Nevertheless: I am pretty sure, that the RAID ROM v10.8.0.1303 will work with the Intel ICH10R SATA RAID Controller of your board, but maybe it will be risky to flash it properly into your mainboard BIOS.

    Hey guys,

I'm willing to help, let's see if I can... If I can't, please send me in the right direction.

I have a Zotac H67 ITX mobo and I'm trying to RAID 5 Four 3TB hard drives.

My current Intel Software version is:
    Current Driver Installed 10.0.0.1032
    Newer Driver Available: 10.8.0.1003
My Intel RST Option ROM version is: 10.1.?.? (I can find that out when I'm not on the machine.)

Apparently in 10.5 Intel added support for 3TB hds and currently with my current RST software version and Hardware firmware version, I can see 3tb drives, I can create a 8+Tb volume, but when I go to initialize it, it only shows 2,240GB. UGGH.

I can download the latest software version, and when I do that, when I look into the IAstor program, I get Status, Manage, Preferences, and Help, but no Create. I'm guessing that my hardware firmware is out of spec so far that the software version won't interface with it.

From within the Boot BIOS (Ctrl-I) I don't see the 3TB drives.

    I guess I have 3 options.
    1. Ask Zotac to release a new BIOS that incorporates 10.8
    2. Try installing the .BIN file you just uploaded.
    3. Buy Four 2TB drives. (Don't want to after having spent a boatload on the Four 3TB drives)

    1. I guess I should do that now, costs me nothing but I'm not hopeful.
    2. Care to share with me how I could flash that BIOS? What would be the risk to my existing Motherboard BIOS. Would it keep things separate?
    3. The economy could use my money but so could I.

I'll play guinea pig, please get back to me and update the thread. Thanks :)
