Thanks and how do i do it can you please explain to me how to do it step by step? I Have AMIBCP And MMTOOL 4.50
also, another question, if I replace ROM, and %% column shows value higher than next rom, does that mean that it overwrote part of the rom that is listed after it?
anyone know what current Marvell lan and sata roms work for p6t deluxe v2 i know the v1 is almost the same? right now i have Marvell 88E8056 6.15.1.3 Marvell 88SE6111 1.1.0.L72a intel raid rom 10.1.0.1008
Last seen working oroms were 6.68 (for 88E8056, 88E8001 is still at 6.60) 88SE6111 is compatible with 88SE6121 and last seen orom was L75 (20kb) I didn't succeded with intel raid rom over 10.1.0.1008 with older boards (P45) don't know if P6T can handle 120kb intel oroms instead of 80kb oroms.
What was the reason why you didn't succeed with any Intel RAID ROM version higher than 10.1.0.1008? Haven't you been able to get any higher version inserted into the BIOS or did you get a problem after having flashed the modded BIOS? Which sort of error resp. problem did you get?
I can answer to this as I have the same problem on my mobo (P6X58D-E, almost the same as P6T). System boot hangs as no Intel Raid screen is shown, just black screen... Latest working OROM is 10.1.0.1008, and that's the last 80k OROM.
Yep, after flashing System hangs in Raid-Mode after POST. You can't access Raid-Options Menue (Ctrl-I), you can't even enter normal BIOS or any Flashing Tool. Black Screen. After resetting CMOS BIOS, settings are in IDE-Mode (not AHCI or Raid, so OROM doesn't initialize and system boots) and you can flash old working bios back. This only happens when using non 80KB-OROMS. 10.1.0.1008 was latest 80KB-OROM, all newer were 120KB.
I´ve never noticed that error about the OROM size. I will check my other bios mods to see if this also happens with other models. @ Fernando, could you also translate from german to english the CBROM for AWARD bios mod ?? I´m almost done to translate from english to PT_BR
Ok, I can accept that P45 mobos don't handle 120kb OROM, but isn't strange that some X58 motherboards can handle it and some don't?
ASUS Sabertooth X58 16Mb Flash ROM, 11.0.0.1339 OK ASRock X58 Extreme3 8Mb Flash ROM, last working is 10.1.0.1008
What means "OK" and what means "working"? Does the Intel RAID ROM Utility (CTRL+I) work without any problem? Have these Intel RAID ROM versions been tested with a RAID or with an AHCI system?
Oh, c'mon. its megabit Mb not megabyte MB. This question is well sucked here in thread long ago and you still keep asking about compat 8/16Mb to OROMs of diff.sizes. I bet noone of you test every OROM after "moddifications" only that ones that auto loaded in RAID system and some 3rd party disk array management controllers and if some IDE chips involvedm not speaking about LAN/LOM/NIC/Ethernet OROM, or/and some integrated video OROMs. So the common number to test is 3 and up.
Yes. ASUS Sabertooth X58 OptROM 11.0.0.1339 IRST 11.0.0.1032 OCZ Agility3 (Marvell controller) 2 x Seagate ST31000528AS RAID0 (ICH10R) I've asked ASRock TSD in november last year to update the optrom for my X58 Extreme 3 (8Mb BIOS) mainboard. They reply "Which version of Intel option ROM you may need? Thanks for your contact. Sincerely ASRock TSD". I reply 10.6.0.1091. Unfortunatelly no sign of life since then. ASUS Rampage Formula X48 has also a 16Mb (2MB) Flash ROM BIOS and OptROMs 11.x are working in RAID configuration (see Solor's 1002b-R4.ROM BIOS) P.S. Fernando, thank you for tutorials
