A higher version number is not always the newer/better one.
The Intel RAID ROM v11.5.0.1111 is an old Alpha version. The actual Intel RST RAID ROM module is v11.1.0.1413.

Your last link points to version v11.1.0.1006 which is for Intel Desktop boards.
Currently the latest drivers in Intel Download Center is v10.8.0.1003, which was released before Aug 2011.

Do you really think, that these new RST drivers are just designed for desktop mainboards made by Intel?
Intel has never offered any drivers for GIGABYTE or ASUS mainboards at their Download Center, but Intel's AHCI and RAID drivers work wilh all Intel chipset systems nevertheless.

Sorry, any news for the owners of motherboards that may handle just 80k OROM to use newer 120k versions?

No, it is just weird that this specific versionb that you link to is located under "Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver for Intel Desktop Boards" while the latest driver v10.8.0.1003 is located in "Normal" Intel Rapid Storage Section located:

    downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=20624&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Chipset+Software&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Rapid+Storage+Technology&lang=eng

The Intel RST drivers v10.8.0.1003 are dated 10/17/2011 and have been officially released by Intel at 11/11/2011.
If you search for "Rapid Storage Technology" within Intel's Download Center, you will get them too.
If you really believe, that the newest (and best) official Intel RST AHCI and RAID drivers v11.1.0.1006 should only be used with Intel desktop mainboards, I give you the advice not to install them with any other mainboard, not even if the mainboard vendor will offer them.

Fernando, you got me wrong. I do belive these are the latest drivers /orom, and I've already modified my BIOS and installed the drivers.

However I'm still baffled why these are listed as "For Intel Desktop Board" while the others (10.8.0.1003) are listed normally (i.e. not m/b specific). Just curious that's all :)

RST 10.8.0.1003 was the final version to support ICH9R/DO/DH SATA. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

Tried updating the Raid OROM of my P6T7-WS (ICH-10R) to 11.1.0.1413 and 11.0.0.1339 but all I get after POST is a black screen with infinitely blinking cursor. Does this mean that I need to use an older version or that I am building it wrong? Right now I'm using mmtool -> replace.

    Current version is 8.0.0.1038

Did you recover your previous BIOS settings after having flahed the "modded" BIOS?

P6T7 is very similar to P6X58D-E; I can't get 120k OROM working with mine, just 80k OROMS. Try with latest 80k OROM, 10.1.0.1008...

Does anyone still possess the option rom for the Marvell 88SE6145 controller? I urgently need it for modding my P5E64 WS Evolution bios.
I would be very thankful if someone would upload it as all other download links seems to be offline.
I'm also in need of a more recent driver for win 7 x64 as the most recent I've managed to find (1.2.0.7700) constantly gives me bsod :(.
    A big thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    René

Thanks a lot Fernando 1. Now I only need the rom for it, I wonder if I can use one for the 88SE6121..

Edit: I noticed that it's the driver for Raid mode will it also work when the controller is set in AHCI mode?

All Marvell 61xx SATA Controllers are named "Marvell 61xx RAID Controller" within the Device Manager, but I am pretty sure, that they will support the AHCI features too.

    Thanks!
But it just gives me "Bios data error!" when initialising the drives. Well.. at least I tried. hehe
Guess the controller can't be updated on a P5E64 WS Evo.
