    hi!
i have a question: i want to know that kind of intel rom is installed in BIOS 0902 for ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE.
    i have this motherboard and yesterday i create a RAID0 with my 2 CRUCIAL M4 (2x128), and i installed driver INTEL 1.5.0.1149 in win 7 x64
i know that the last bios for my motherboard is 3304, and i wolud to know if i can improve the performance of the raid0 changing the intel rom of the bios
    thank you!

    AFAIK it's v10.6.0.1091.
The BIOS 3304 has the Intel RAID ROM v10.8.0.1303.
If you want the best ROM combination with the RST(e) drivers v11.5.0.1149, you should have updated the RAID ROM of your mainboard BIOS to v11.5.0.1347 (optimal: before you created the RAID0 array).

    thank you!
so i will try to mod a 3304 bios for my motherboard; i will include:

    SLIC 2.1
    OPROM v11.1.0.1413

i will include OPROM v11.1.0.1413 because i use RAPID STORAGE DRIVER, not RAPID STORAGE ENTERPRISE, and 11.5.0.1149 is for RAPID STORAGE ENTERPRISE driver, is correct?

The first and the last: P5Q Dlx is the only MoBo of old type (P45) for which Asus released somehow raw buggy but UEFI BIOS, the EEPROM of MoBo is 2MB/16Mb vs rest 1MB/8Mb P5Q family w/o UEFI support. The UEFI is a complete new (already not) mechanism to support extensible firmware interfaces (EFI) for devices/OROMs/firmwares/etc. So not a miracle that this release of a first and last attempt of raw buggy-laggy UEFI BIOS for P5Q Dlx have its success in a things you've said about. This was the step of testing UEFI tech, but w/o further maintenance for the "oldies" and a bit outdated chipsets and MoBos, commercially the're all already dead, so you're the lucky one to have an opportunity to safely use 16Mb UEFI compatible BIOS for easy modding to huge OROMs with a great success for old good P45 chipset. Enjoy.

Who has RaidCply tool from late 10.6/11 Intel packs and who ran it under latest Intel OROMs? I guess nothing has changed in support of TRIM since 9.6/10 OROM versions. Post the results of RaidCply of latest versions here.

No, I extract the RAID ROM module and open it with an hex editor. Then I can read the ROM version.

    What is a "RaidCply Tool"?
If you should mean the Intel RAID ROM Utility, I am running the v11.5.0.1347 together with the RST(e) drivers and the related RST(e) Console software v11.5.0.1149.

i meant what i meant, raidcply is a tool bundled by Intel like raidcfg for techs primary, can be run in 16-bit OS to test Intel chipset and OROM capabilities and features, that can answer some questions of what's supported. Basically rarely found as subject of NDA i suppose. Can be google i guess. Don't know which is the latest ver. available.
But if there's techs familiar with DOS and googling, and using one of latest v10/v11 Intel OROMs would be interesting to see the logs of raidcply tool of one of recent versions 10/11 (which are somehow related to IRST versions as released in a bundle pack of IRST: driver, orom, raidcfg(32), raidcply under NDA).

Nevermind : i just noticed that this isn't used anymore and intel is going with RSTe nomenclature now with a whole new version count.

I wouldn't suggest using v11.5 Intel oroms, as they were released as beta and now is outdated, even 11.5.0.1347 is copyrighted 2011, when even 11.1.0.1413 is copyrighted in 2012. The 11.5 is a strange family with strange version numbers and never been released as non-beta.

There is now RST 11.0.5.1001 WHQL available at station-drivers.

    DriverVer=04/06/2012,11.0.5.1001

No one has confirmed this yet whether these are indeed newer and more up to date than RST 11.1.0.1006
WHQL even though the version numbers suggest they are a older release version.

Always on 80k/120k OROMS... I found around internet that some bios (called "older", but I think it's just a commercial trick) simply don't support 120k OROMS.
Now it would be interesting to find out what is the difference between, in example, Asus P6X58D-E and Asus Rampage III. They are the same motherboards, except for peripherals and cooling, but they have some difference in some point of the bios, as the second one supports 120k OROMS.
Could please someone practiced give a look at them?
    Thank you!
