AFAIK Ket (the XS bios modder) only replaced the first one (where EBB is). You could try with AMIMMWIN to do the 2nd one with the /S switch. Not sure if it will work, anyway you have a backup bios chip on your P5Q Dlx mobo so no worrys
Yes, just the ID 15 one with EBB on the same line does the trick. Sorry for late reply, been a very very busy week lol.
In attachment JMB 1.08.01 rom and ICH 9.5.0.1021, this puppys are geting big someone test them please, my mobo is still RMA till next week. they are comming from some DFI P55 mobo (dont remember exact model).
I have an updated bios with this v9.5.0.1021 O-ROM, and was planning to test it later, but might skip it if he have the knoweledge to accurately pinpoint the issue to be the orom, and not some other issues... There is no reason this orom should suddenly become only useable on P55, as other P55 oroms have worked just fine. Still, find the numbering kinda odd on this orom, was expecting a usual copy of the numbering from the driver releases, and the latest beta is v9.5.0.1037....
It was no problem to reflash, just boot from USB memory stick. The unsupported hardware error only appears for a few seconds and the boot continues, although without any raid devices. Note that the 9.5.0.1037 driver is also incompatible. It has been rebranded as "rapid storage" and for whatever reason seems to have legacy product support but not ICH10R.
v9.5.0.1037 drivers works like a charm on my Asus Maximus Formula, have a feeling that he had a bad flash etc.. with the new ICH O-Rom, and might just give it a go later with my modded Bios... Would just like to see someone else have it working successfully on ICH9R/10R first, since this is a critical PC for work, not just for fun, and that I have no flashstick atm, someone failed to give it back after som copying...
i just got PM from a guy that flashed p5e mobo with my rampage bios, he said everything is working fine for him, even tho he used rampage bios on p5e mobo... so dunno we need more reports about if ich 9.5 is working on ich9r/10r.
There seems only one P55 MB, DK P55-T3eH9, available from DFI. However, the BIOS is too large, 4,194,304 Bytes, to be viewed by the AWARD BIOS Editor 1.0 or CBROM32 1.95!!! Are there any other tool around to manipulate this BIG BIOS yet?
first of all, it has ami bios, not award and yes you cant open it in mmtool, i didnt check amimmwin, how i dumped all modules is with andyp amitool dump function. he is using ahci mode, so intel pci option rom should be active...
Confirmed: Intel 9.5.0.1021 rom replaced in P5Q Deluxe 2201 bios gives hardware error. Simply reflash with a good bios and it works again.
