The BIOS already had Dell SLIC 2.1. If you have an nSeries 420, then the SLIC table is hidden.

The 2201 BIOS for P5Q Deluxe has the latest (6.60.2.3) Lan ROMs already. No need to change them.

There seems only one P55 MB, DK P55-T3eH9, available from DFI. However, the BIOS is too large, 4,194,304 Bytes, to be viewed by the AWARD BIOS Editor 1.0 or CBROM32 1.95!!! Are there any other tool around to manipulate this BIG BIOS yet?

Did you tried to set intel boot rom active?
Here I got a flashing cursor, so the latest intel ROM dosen't work on my board :(
Computer boots on IDE/AHCI mode so be aware!

first of all, it has ami bios, not award :) and yes you cant open it in mmtool, i didnt check amimmwin, how i dumped all modules is with andyp amitool dump function.

he is using ahci mode, so intel pci option rom should be active...

Well then AHCI/IDE works, if I set it to RAID I got a flashing cursor on boot, I have to clear CMOS to get it back online :p
I'm back to old one for now... :(

P.S. my board is P6T6 WS Revolution ICH10R

Confirmed: Intel 9.5.0.1021 rom replaced in P5Q Deluxe 2201 bios gives hardware error.

Simply reflash with a good bios and it works again.

Sorry if its a little off topic, but is anyone able to update an award bios? I'm trying to update my Gigabyte p35-ds3r.f13 bios with the newest intel option rom from x55ud3r bios using cbrom182. I wasn't sure if i could use the ones from this thread since its an award bios.

I tried Yen's method of releasing all the modules from pci and below and readding them to keep the same order. I did this because I believe the meminit module is causing me problems. Can anyone help me out with this? Thx

Probably the exact same error, just missing text...

There will most likely be plenty of X58/X48/X38 Option ROM's in the upcoming weeks to play with, just not this one...

AFAIK, most of the option roms for AWARD and AMI are interchangeable, such as JMicron363 Raid, Intel RAID for SATA, Marvell 88SE61xx, Yukon PXE.

yes lan option room is from booting of the internet and stuff like that in general, might be some compatibility with certain routers as well altho doubtful. It wierd that intel option rom 8.9.0.1023 doesnt work on DFI p45 mobo... there shouldnt be any reason that it doesnt, are you sure you moded correctly?

Actually I've tried 3 Intel RAID for SATA option ROMs, 8.7.0.1007, 8.8.0.1009, and 8.9.0.1023, on my DFI DK P45 and no luck at all. The one that works is the original 8.5.0.1030, which is exactly 64K (65,536) Bytes long. I strongly doubt that AWARD bios can't accept option ROM longer than 64K Bytes.

So you think its just a limitation of the Award BIOS? There's plenty of free room left on my BIOS chip.
