    Hey guys,

    How are you uploading/finding places to download the bios?

    According to my System Information I have Phoenix Technologies Ltd. 07YI

    I dont do Phoenix yet mate, will do in the future after some research.
    i only learned and did research on AMI last night. ;)

    you have a phoenix bios, and not an AMI.
    you'd have to try some kind of phoenix support site, maybe?

    anyway Plug, as for the bios you gave me.
    after i flashed it, i used slic dump toolkit to check my slic version and it says i still have 2.0.
    perhaps it didn't flash correctly.
    as soon as i clicked flash on WinFlash, my computer turned off.
    is this normal? or is there supposed to be some sort of flashing sequence?

    Hmm strange mate, might have gotten flashed incorrectly with winflash.exe
    reboot your system and reflash your bios VIA dos or your motherboards inbuilt bios flashing program.

    then report back..

    how would i go about flashing from dos?
    by making a dos disk/flash drive and booting into pure dos?

    Im not exactly sure there are lots of ways,
    are you sure your bios doesnt have internal flash function ? where you just stick your bios on a usb flash drive and your mobo picks it up automaticly..
    I dont trust flashing motherboards via windows, stuff always seems screwy doing it that way.

    let me know on your progress, once you figure out how to flash via pure dos
    or your motherboards bios ect.
