It is??? The file I downloaded does not have DELL XP SLP choice available under OEM XP. Mine only has DELL SLP for server 2003. Please upload yours with the DELL SLP 1.0 for XP to a rapidshare or other similar file sharing. Having researched Dell slp 1.0 XP a bit it seems more complex that simply replacing the OEM name with a DMI editor. Thanks for your help.
DELL SLP for server 2003 works for XP also but you need to edit the line in the XP_SLP.INI in notepad change to line below from Dell System to Dell Computer. Code: Dell Computer ; ´÷¶û OEM WINDOWS2003 SLP

First I disabled my Vista 64 bootloader with Easy Bcd..... Then I copied my modded bios to a compact flash card on a USB drive, used the ASUS EZ Flash2 program in the bios tools menu to update the bios....rebooted and then It was activated!!! This is an awesome program , my thanks go out to the developer.... Gotta do a bit more research before I try to boot into the 64...
Downloaded it and was surprised that the latest Kaspersky update sees a trojan? I know that others have reported that Kaspersky calls it clean. Is it still the same file in the download??
Hi Yen Thanks for Your Convenient Tool....due to I'm beginner user!! I used this Tool to Mod My MotherBoard..ASUS-P5Q Deluxe [AMI.,BIOS1102beta] Very Exiting!!! I can activate Vista x64 very easy. Thans again Sir.
Agreed, this tool is great!! I have requested BIOSes and had the guys mod them b4, now I just use this tool and mod them as they come out. Great work on this tool, the BIOSes and this site
Confused At the risk of sounding like a complete NOOB I have to ask if there is a complete list of instructions for using the AMI bios modder some where. I don't like doing something like this unless I am sure of the procedure. I don't need a dead board. If some one could point me to the instructions I'd appreciate it Thanks
Asus p5ld2vm-se Hi... my mobo (ASUS P5LD2VM-SE) already have a NEC slic... should I try to use SSV3? Will it overwrite NEC slic? Or what should I do? Is there a way to change the NEC slic for a Asus SLIC? Thanks in advance...
ASUS p5ld2vm-se The funny thing is that I tried to find the SLIC section with mmtool and winhex and it wans't there, but looking through Everest in ACPI I can see a NEC SLIC...
Thanks for the recovery link, I may try that later if I kill another mobo. Could you please let me know which method is guaranteed to work on all AMI BIOSes? Is there an automatic method that's really 100% reliable on all AMI BIOSes, or should I use manual one if I want to make sure my mobo is safe after reflash?
You're welcome. First and foremost, I am not an expert but my understanding is that there is no one method "guaranteed" to work on all AMI BIOSes. Even the flashing process has no guarantees (modded or unmodded). I believe it is an inherent risk we all must accept if one chooses to take this path. I do not know of any automatic method for AMI that is stated or proven to be 100% reliable. There is also no way to make sure your mobo is safe after flashing even if you utilize the manual method. My suggestion is to consult an expert. This will decrease the likelihood but the risk is still present, however little.
